well I hope anyone who reads this had a lovely Christmas and happy New year.
I managed to have a good Christmas but I’ve fallen completely off the losing weight goal I had set myself.
first of all I found out that my diabetes has a big part to play in weight gain.
I had been eating quite a few hi to light bars whilst following the slimming world plan and my doctor told me off. explained to me that they are quite high and sugar and I was eating 3 or 4 everyday.
this led me to become very ill. blood sugars were all over the place. I kept falling asleep. extreme fatigue and my fibromyalgia pain got a lot worse.
so that’s why I decided to go to the doctor and she explained to me that unless I can get my blood sugar Insulin Levels more stable I’m forever gonna be fighting with my weight as unstable insulin levels leads to the body storing more fat than what’s needed.
I didn’t know this. and so I decided to have s banquet for the Christmas holidays and start again today
and boy what a banquet I had.
I’m 10 pounds heavier in just over a week. a lot of this I know is water weight as most days I’ve only been having one or two drinks. no where near enough.
apart from that I’ve had two trips to the hospital with both of my girls during the Christmas period. when who was admitted for one night so that didn’t help my eating patterns or stress levels.
so here I am. practically a whole stone heavier than when I first joined slimming world.
my fight for fight loss starts again today.
I’m kissing slimming world good bye and also skinny caffe which initially made me feel better did nothing for my weight loss.
more likely because I was eating too much than it not working though.
I’ve decided on a calorie counting approach and I’m using a app called lose it.
I can have 1529 calories a day.
I must confess to having 509 calories worth of rich tea biscuits this morning so I don’t have a lot left for my main meal but I’m gonna try not to go over.
if I do I’ll just I’ve to eat less tomorrow.
I’ve also decided not to count some foods known as negative calorie foods such as berries. cucumbers. broccoli carrots etc.
