How to achieve whatever you want in life

You will be surprised to hear that this amazing achievement is not too far out of reach, no matter how far and difficult it may seem all the way from the starting line.

One thing life has taught me: “Nothing falls from the sky.” For most people, success comes with time and hard work. But the great news is: it can come to anybody!

Today, if there’s anything you want to do in life that you feel really passionate about, any goal that you want to achieve, simply use the following steps to begin your path with clarity and conviction.

Before taking the steps below ask yourself: What do you need to attract more of what you want, and what you choose? Now Here are  tips to help you move from the passenger seat of your life and take control of the steering wheel:.

WRITE YOUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES DOWN

Do not leave your goals and objectives in mind, get them out there and write on paper all you have visualized. Probably, the most important rule that you must follow if you want to succeed is writing your goals is to determine the date of compliance.

Because you will only then realize your dreams if they first become goals, the important point is how to do it. I suggest to take a diary and go crossing out what you’ve done.

SEEK THE KNOWLEDGE NOT THE RESULT

If you focus on the excitement of discovery, improving, exploring and experimenting, your motivation will always be fueled. If you focus only on results, your motivation will be like weather—it will die the minute you hit a storm.

So the key is to focus on the journey, not the destination. Keep thinking about what you are learning along the way and what you can improve.

                       BE COMMITTED

Just how committed are you to your goal? How important is it for you, and what are you willing to sacrifice in order to achieve it? You cannot count solely on motivation if you want to achieve your desirable goal. What you need is commitment.

Commitment to perform at your best behavior and set your mind and heart to the specific thing you want to achieve. There can be hundreds of examples, but truly, all you need is to buckle up and get to work. If you find yourself fully committed, motivation will follow.

OVER COME THE ENEMY CALLED DISTRACTION

You sit down next to the computer screen, ready to write your best-selling novel, feeling strong and motivated. Suddenly, you feel your phone vibrating in your pocket and next thing you know is that you’ve not only engaged in a long, meaningful conversation, and even took the liberty to start watching these funny you tube videos.

And when you decide to get back to work the screen is as blank as it was before. Bottom line. Want to achieve your goals? Avoid distractions as best as you possibly can.

                     REDEFINE FAILURE

Keep searching for improvement. Don't stay stagnant; learn, grow, discover. Be flexible. Not everything always goes exactly like the plans so readapt when you need to and keep moving on.

STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS

You can (and should!) have inspirations, but each journey is unique. Stop blaming yourself for not being “as good as” that other person. There is no one like you. Appreciate the beauty in that.

                   TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

When something doesn’t go as planned, it’s easy to blame external factors out of our control like “there was not enough time” or “there’s too much competition.”

Start taking responsibility for your actions and results. When something doesn’t go your way, identify what you can do differently and work on it.

       DON'T OVERLY DEPENDS ON OTHERS

You should never expect others to do it for you, not even your partner, friend or boss. They are all busy with their own needs. No one will make you happy or achieve your goals for you. It’s all on you.

                 USE YOUR IMAGINATION

Next step after getting rid of negative thoughts is to use your imagination. When things go well, you are full of positive energy, and when you are experiencing difficulties, you need to be even more energetic. So rename your situation.

If you keep repeating I hate my work, guess which feelings those words will evoke? It’s a matter of imagination! You can always find something to learn even from the worst boss in the world at the most boring job. I have a great exercise for you: Just for three days, think and say positive things only. See what happens.

                           BE PERSISTENT

Nobody said it was easy. You’ll probably face a lot of challenges and people trying to stop you from getting where you want to go. Obstacles are there for guiding you in the right direction, though. Reconnect  to your inner-self and don’t give up.

ELIMINATE OBSTACLES CAUSING BEHAVIOUR AND REPLACE IT WITH SUCCESS LINK BEHAVIOUR

If your goal includes eliminating a specific behavior, it must be replaced with a new behavior if you want permanent change.

If we don’t substitute a behavior, we end up creating a big void that leads to obsessive thinking, which eventually leads to falling back into old patterns.

And this takes us  back to square one, from where we started initially. Moving forward should be the ultimate step towards achieving goals.

     PROTECT YOURSELF FROM BURNOUT

It’s easy to burn out when you are very motivated. Observe yourself to recognize any signs of tiredness and take time to rest. Your body and mind rest when you schedule relaxation and fun time into your weekly calendar.

Do diverse tasks, keep switching between something creative and logical, something physical and still, working alone and with a team. Switch locations. Meditate, or just take deep breaths, close your eyes, or focus on one thing for five minutes.

You lack motivation not because you are lazy or don’t have a goal. Even the biggest stars, richest businesspeople or the most accomplished athletes get lost sometimes. What makes them motivated is the curiosity about how much better or faster they can get. So above all, be curious, and this will lead you to your goals and success.

           REMOVE STAGNANT THOUGHTS

Thoughts influence feelings and feelings determine how you view your work. You have a lot of thoughts in your head, and you always have a choice of which ones to focus on: the ones that will make you emotionally stuck (fears, doubts) or the ones that will move you forward (excitement, experimenting, trying new things, stepping out of your comfort zone).

STOP BEING TOO NICE TO YOURSELF

Motivation means action and action brings results. Sometimes your actions fail to bring the results you want. So you prefer to be nice to yourself and not put yourself in a difficult situation.

You wait for the perfect timing, for an opportunity, while you drive yourself into stagnation and sometimes even into depression. Get out there, challenge yourself, do something that you want to do even if you are afraid.

MAKE YOUR JOURNEY TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS FUN

It’s an awesome game! The minute you make it serious, there’s a big chance it will start carrying an emotional heavy weight and you will lose perspective and become stuck again. As you set out to achieve your goals remember that you will face challenges.

Think of challenges as ‘veer right’ signs that show up just when you’re about to make a left in life. Enjoy each and every step toward your goals because you never know when your ‘arrival’ is just around the corner.

                            BE GRATEFUL

Sometimes we just focus on the big prize and forget to celebrate the little wins every day. Being grateful helps you keep boosting your energy to achieve your big goal. Enjoy the journey!
