Why intelligent people struggle to achieve success

Intelligent is not a yardstick or a guarantee for automatic success it takes hard work, patient, energy investment, set skills to attain it. Over dependence on correlate Intelligent certificate doesn't put food on your table from the labour market.

You would have met many smart people who live a mediocre life. There are MANY of them. You might be surprised why this is the case. They have the brains to go somewhere, be someone and do remarkable things. When you talk to them, you will realize that even they want to go somewhere, be someone and do remarkable things.

HERE ARE REASONS WHY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE STRUGGLE TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS

1.They don’t reach out to new people.

It’s easy to hold on to people you have known for a long time. You know each other’s histories and can related to them easily While old friends are cool to have, getting to meet new people is equally as important to expand your horizon.

Hanging around with familiar people means that the same ideas are recycled over and over again, and you don’t get to learn new perspectives outside of your social old circle.

WAY FORWARD
It can be difficult and inconvenient to reach out to new people at first, but starting small can help.

Aim for a low goal initially, such as introducing yourself to one new person a week as it depends on you and social opportunity not arbitrarily.

2.They are  not willing to take risks

It is common for intelligent people choose the safe route often time.

They might follow the same path as their peers or choose a Career because it’s considered acceptable by their peers.

While this guarantees a degree of security, it can be mundane. Also, smart people notice their jobs is unfulfilling and they want to do something else, but are afraid to do so.

WAY FORWARD
Taken the right decision on calculated risk can't eliminate your career goals it is part of life to progress without recycling within your less modern domain.

However, If you are thinking about branching out into unfamiliar territory, consider what your life will be like decades from now if you opt not to pursue something.

Will you regret it, or will you be happy with your decision? THINK.

3.They can’t commit to a decision.

Being smart and hard working can open up numerous doors. People normally see this as a good thing, but it can be as restricting as having few choices.

More so, an abundance of choices makes it difficult to decide what to do. As a result, it’s tempting to jump around and “see what suits you.”

Most intelligent people are trill and tempted into different educational programs spanning years yet, making nothing out of it.

They are entertain by the in flow of educational materials to pleasure their intellectuality thereby investing in nothing achieving nothing in the long run a waste of academic pursuit.

WAY FORWARD
Instead of dabbling into several educational endeavors, it is logical to test things out first. Communicate to other people and do the research before making a decision, so that you know whether or not an option suits your personality and lifestyle.

4.You believe you deserve success based on credentials

It all starts at the educational institute or school. When people get good grades at school, they are considered smart.
School is an environment where the penalty for making mistakes is very low.

In some schools and exam systems, memorization is given a huge premium – meaning the person who can memorize the best is considered the smartest.

They don’t say it that way but the exams are designed to test someone’s memorization skill rather than testing what they have learned.

The field or marketplace is very different from the school. It is nothing close to four walls of school.

The rules that work in the marketplace are very different from the rules that work in the classroom. In fact, there are very few rules that work in the marketplace.

It will take a while for many "classroom smarts” to graduate to “marketplace smarts.”

People that worked hard in school are used to being at the top and told how much potential they show. This seems good initially, but there are some negative side effects.

It is not unusual to hear people claim they deserve something because of their intelligence or where they went to school.
They expect things to work out automatically because of their credentials or excellent certificate. Sadly, though, life doesn’t work that way.

In the real world, you don’t get results based on the work you put in. You get results based on the combination of hard work, strategic thinking, and some unexpected opportunities.

You can increase that last factor by working on the first two.

WAY FORWARD
It is far better to think clearly and differentiate the four wall of school and marketplace knowing fully well that your smart certificate doesn't guarantee an automatic success in the marketplace.
It is more practical than your theoretical certificate the bridge between the two should be analysed strategically weighing the pros and cons when diving into the labour force without over depending on your certificate which also play a role in your career prospects, but not the determinant factor or ultimate in achieving your goals there is more to it than you ever thought of.

5.They don’t believe in themselves

Surprisingly, intelligent people can underestimate their own abilities.

They are their own worst critic, they criticise their intelligent to the lowest ebb, doubting what they can accomplish by what they know thereby, causing them to believe that they can’t accomplish as much as they can.

Intelligent people set high standards when it comes to their work. Whenever they work on a project, they tend to scrutinize and second-guess the final product.

This seems like a good thing on the surface, but it’s often more debilitating than helpful. Perfectionism can hinder people from progressing forward in their goals or starting on anything in the first place.

WAY FORWARD
Trying to analyse between knowing and ignorance should not make you crash more into ignorance without considering how much you know that might take your career to the next level and learn along the way striking the balance is ultimately necessary not plunging into over criticising your intelligent, making less capable than it ought to be.

Believing in yourself is the first step to achieve your career success over belittling it will not do you any good that is a form of mock humility also avoid over inflating it too that is another disaster balance, balance and balance is the key not the extreme cases.

6.Their past success may become a baggage

They say success begets success. But they never said “classroom success” will beget “marketplace success.” In fact, success begets success only when you are willing to adapt to the new situations very RAPIDLY.

What worked in their past gives them a feeling that following what made them successful in the past will make them successful in the future.

Past success doesn't guarantee future success if there is no new innovation as a backup to push to the next level. The common biggest mistakes intelligent people indulge in is over counting on success in the classroom setting thinking it is a yardstick to future success in the labour market not always the case.

Classroom success should not be the real deal for labour market success is about spreading your tentacles to connect with the right people, environment, ideas, information and embracing mentorship to humbly learning on their feet by feeding on their skills and wealth of experience gathered for years.

Adding such skills and experience to your classroom base success can give you a new perceptive, a glimpse to your future success if adopted and acted upon.

WAY FORWARD
Avoid depending on past success to  attain future ones. Take the necessary to learn from expert and those with wealth of experience and skills in your chosen field of endeavour.

It open new door to different horizon of new innovative ideas and information that will equip you to achieve your success if you have an open mind without over depending on past success.

7.They always chase the next big thing.

One thing about high achievers is that they hate wasting time. Intelligent people are all too aware of the value of their time, as time and effort spent on one thing means that they could potentially be missing out on something else.

While this is a strong attribute, it also leads to a bad habit of chasing the next big thing and not following through.

Starting out in any field or endeavor is tough, and getting through the initial obstacles requires patience.

Focusing effort on one goal yields much better results in the long run than going after one thing, getting bored, and then going after something new.

It leads to static success a premature way of progressing in one's career in most cases it foster frustration, encourage depression at the end of big thing rush.

WAY FORWARD
Adopting step by step approach in achieving one thing at a time before venturing into another upgrade career prospect beyond the sky.

One can be satisfy with next big rush it is an endless loop it is far logical, efficient and intelligent to pursue one goal at a time, instead of multi-goal oriented rush that doesn't guarantee progressive stability for career attainment.

A laser-like focus on specific project with mastery over time give you a professional authority, expert respect and pave way to long term achievement that withstanding the test of time as you upgrade and inculcate new ideas making your career more flexible and dependable.

8.Not acting when there is a need to act

The fear of failure makes some people go for “extreme preparation” – trying to cross all the “t”s and dotting all the “i”s – trying to be “fully” ready before taking the first step.

As they prepare more, they realize that there is a need to prepare even more. They end up going into a never-ending loop.

For many people, smartness stops in thinking and cooking up cool things. We all know that ideas are important but they are only worth much more if they are brilliantly executed.

Some intelligent people worry that others will steal their ideas and they won’t share them. So it’s a double loss there.

If they stop worrying about others stealing their idea and start executing, it will be a whole new world out there. Selfishly holding on new ideas will not help you progress either you need others to accomplish your goals you can't stand alone to do that.

WAY FORWARD
Embrace, share your new ideas with others they can help your ideas to germinate beyond you ever expected. It promote team work, social success and strong bond in building your career.

We know that some feed on others people ideas to build theirs if you are afraid of that and know the mentality of your social work force then you can apply diplomacy while sharing your ideas to prevent intellectual stealing.

Acting on your new ideas or information is another thing it is easier to birth a whole new fantastic idea, but to implement it is another issue.

Don't be too afraid to act on what you know remember the greatest risk is not to take a calculated risk not impulsive one.

9.They over analyse

Social analysis skills is a pivotal factor to build a career along side with social business group, however, the line should be drawn when displaying your social analysis skills.

Intelligence actually works as a stumbling block for social interactions. The smarter you are, the more capable you are to over-prepare and over-analyze.

Dumb people actually have an advantage because they aren’t even aware of the consequences.

They just go in and talk to people. This lets them stay relaxed and confident, which improve their results.

WAY FORWARD
Take one piece of social skills advice at a time. Focus on just improving executing on it because it avoids information overwhelm that is be prepare don't over prepare to prevent unnecessary time wasting and stress.

Social skills is not that demanding a little dose of confidence you cover more ground with new social connection that will boost your career in no time.

OTHERS INCLUDE
*Intelligent people are rarely satisfied.

They always seek tougher and bigger challenges. Many times they fail. When they are successful they don't consider it a victory. If its not a challenge, its not a triumph.

This is why many intelligent people feel they have never reached their potential.
Intelligent people also tend to think a lot before doing anything.

They are not your typical impulsive go-getters. They don't grab every opportunity instead do a complete analysis first. And the window closes fast.

*Intelligent people are also easily distracted.

Everything is fascinating to them and since they have a higher IQ, they figure out the mechanisms faster and better than average individuals. They tend to be less focused. Jack of all, master of none.

Most people define success as making a lot of money or becoming very popular. The jobs which make this possible are mostly managerial jobs.

Many intelligent people lack the required social skills to get to those positions. Until unless intelligent people make a huge scientific discovery they are not visible to a layman.

*Hoarding what they know for their own satisfaction.

The biggest reason intelligent people fail to achieve their potential is because intelligent people don't declare it when they have.

Intelligent people generally have a thirst for knowledge, not for attention.

They seek to improve themselves and expand their minds. You may never even know whether your brainy friend has successfully accomplished his task.

He/she is too busy seeking the next challenge allowing the sly ones to take credit.
