Livongo Announces First Cellular-Enabled Blood Pressure Monitoring System

Earlier this week they announced the first cellular-enabled blood pressure monitoring system available in the United States. It comes with a smartphone app and an online platform for managing and sharing the readings. The product comes with real-time online support from licensed professionals who are certified to help with managing chronic conditions.
The device has cellular connectivity which allows patients to easily check and report their readings. The blood pressure data uploads its measurements to the Livongo cloud platform, without having to connect it to a Wi-Fi network. People who already use Livongo for Diabetes also have hypertension. The company took an integrated approach to make it easier for patients who are managing multiple conditions to stay healthy.

The Silicon Valley firm was set to introduce the hypertension solution at the Health 2.0 conference in Santa Clara, California earlier this week.
