Master Your Mind

We always let things and people get in our head. At least the bad things.

Sticking to a good Workout plan and good eating plan is by mastering your mind. Once you’re able to master your mind you will be able to master your Body.

It’s so easy to say.

Master your mind. Master your body.

But it’s not. I can tell you it’s not. I recently lost a lot of weight. I was dedicated to hitting the gym. I was eating like a champ. Then the holiday’s hit. Kids were on vacation. I transferred to a new job. My work hours changed. And boom, right back into my old habits.

I thought I had my cravings under control. I thought I HAD IT DOWN!

No. I had not mastered my mind. I gained weight back. I’m back at square one. So what we have to do is manage to master our mind or at least try to. What we have to do is take it one day at time. If we can master our day, we can master our mind, we can master our body.

Again it seems so simple. It sounds so easy.

Our cravings kick up and we want what we want. Right now I want chocolate. All the time. I just want to eat chocolate all the time. The challenge is the portion control, resisting the craving, and maintaining our healthy eating habits.

Another problem is, are we getting up and moving. Are we getting in our active minutes and are we working out? Even if it’s a walk around the block or a quick run, are we working toward our goals?

I can tell you I have not been. I have not been setting aside time to workout. I have not been eating right.

I need to master my days so I can master my body.
