Transformation Takes Time

It has been a while since I’ve posted. Things happen. As things usually happen with life.

One thing has remained a constant though, my gym time.

This is the longest that I have actually stayed on track. It’s been quite a few months since I started and I’m happy to report I’m down almost 45 lbs. Yeah, you read that right. 45 lbs so far.

I don’t plan on stopping. I’ve come to love the gym. It’s my me time. It’s the time of day where I can focus on one thing, and that is me. I don’t have to Worry about work. Or school. The kids. Or anything. Just me.

I like my me time. I can let my mind be free and worry about the area of my body that I’m working for the day. Tomorrow is abs and booty. So for those 2-3 hours that I hit the gym, that’s my main worry. My abs and my booty. It’s a great time.

The Transformation is a slow one. But I keep reminding myself I didn’t gain all of this overnight. I didn’t transform into this lumpy monster after one weekend of overeating. It’s been something that has built up over the past 10 years. Now, well, now I have to get back to what I looked like slowly. The hardest part is surprisingly not getting to the gym. That’s the easy part. What’s hard? Is the food. I’m serious. The hardest part of all of this is teaching myself how to eat right. How to not crave the chocolate and chips and salts and processed shit. It’s getting easier. I’m enjoying my healthy food more. I miss my chips though. Mmmmm lays chips. They’re so good.

Something else I’ve noticed, since I cut my calories, is that I’m eating less and I’m feeling full faster. I no longer want to eat seconds or thirds. I’m content with my one helping of whatever I eat.

So my transformation is taking time and it’s a time I really like.
