See ya sugar

I’ve given up sugar!

Okay not all sugar, but a LOT of it.

You see I have this Addiction. An addiction to sugar. Mainly in the form of sugary, crap drinks such as Mt. Dew and iced tea. (Not homemade…I’m talking Turners. That delicious crack in a glass.)

It’s been four days and holy crap…I’m actually going through the sugar withdrawal. The first two days I had MAJOR migraines. I was moody. I was a miserable bitch. I hated it.

The third day….I just wanted sugar. Any sugar. I stayed far, far away from the cafeteria.

Today though, oh man today, I am seriously jonsing for a Mt. Dew. Everyone around me has Mt. Dew. I swear everyone is drinking one. I want one.

I got coffee instead. It at least got rid of the migraine from lack of caffeine. I haven’t even had anything bad to eat.

While my gym time is still lacking, I’m a slacker what can I say, I’m at least making an effort on the diet front. I have every intention on getting up early to go. But what is that saying about good intentions? The road to hell is paved with good intentions.  So I can have every intention on doing everything in the world and working out for 4 hours a day, but if I’m not doing it, what’s the point on thinking about it?

So what has to happen? I have to get my ass up and to the gym. I have stop convincing myself on why I can start tomorrow. Tomorrow will never come if I don’t make the effort today. (Ohhh that’s a good one!)

I’m on bottle (32 oz bottle) 3 for the day. Know what that means? I’m peeing a LOT. Like 10 x’s more than I was just drinking Mt. Dew and Turners. Wanna know what else I’ve been noticing? My face is clearing up. My hair is actually nicer. My nails are growing faster.

But who cares…I want that Mt. Dew.

Nope. NO MT. DEW.

This is what goes through my head every time I walk past the vending machines.

Have you given up sugary drinks or foods? What was the hardest part for you? When did you realize you could do it? Why did you?

I’d love to hear from you guys. Here your tales of overcoming that addictive shit.
