Approximately 11% of 12th-graders across the U.S. are reported to be using Delta-8, an intoxicating substance.

Unlike with marijuana, there is no Age Restrictions for purchasing delta-8 in most states where the product is legal. The fact that teens Are using this product is of concern.  

Delta-8 comes in many forms that often appeals to children and teens. It may be in the shape of gummies, chocolate, cookies, vaping cartridges, sodas and even breakfast cereals. Delta-8 is sold in convenience stores where students often hang out before or after school.  It can also be obtained at gas stations and online.

Between January, 2021, and February, 2022 Poison control centers received more than 2,300 delta-8 exposure case calls.
