Evernote’s Parade of Features, Part Five: Improve Workflow on the Web

You don’t even need to own a computer to use Evernote on the web—you just need access to one. What’s more, Evernote Web offers a couple of outstanding features you may not know about. Let’s take a look.

(Mild disclaimer: Some features are only available with certain Evernote plans. If you see something you like that’s not in your plan, consider upgrading and giving your productivity a(nother) boost.)

Access from any computer

If you’ve got a web Browser, you’ve got Evernote. Open up your account in any web browser—just go to Evernote.com, click on “Log in” and enter your email address and password. You’ll get Evernote’s familiar interface (and access to all your notes) right in the browser.

Web Clipper extension

This simple browser extension does so much. Evernote Web Clipper lets you capture full-page articles, images, selected text, important emails, and any web page that inspires you. You can even choose the amount of content you want to clip, whether that’s a full web page, a section, or a page link.

It’s a great way to grab something from the web to review later, say,  during your commute or for a big research project. Capture a screenshot and select an “annotate” tool to highlight and add arrows or other visual callouts. Hit the “share” button and instantly send content to others. Just click that tiny button on your browser and collect to your heart’s content.

Linkify copy/paste

This one’s like magic. Simply copy a URL, highlight the text in your note you want to link, select “Paste,” and voila—link added. We love how much time it saves, and we think you will too.

Not a big Evernote Web user? Stay tuned.

In this “Parade of features” series, we’ll be covering killer features on our iOS, Android, desktop, and tablet apps as well. So if you’re not an Evernote Web user, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.
