Top 5 Best Epilator For Face (Our Top Picks & Reviews) 2020

Tired of the nicks and bumps from shaving? Here’s the solution.

The universe, in its graciousness, gave us the devices to get rid of unwanted Hair. Well, technically people with the right amount of brain deemed it right to tap into the very lucrative beauty industry and give us a solution to bodily and facial hair that actively grows where it is not wanted. My facial epilator and I couldn’t be better suited for each other, thank you people with the right amount of brain.

What is A Facial Epilator?

Have you used a facial epilator before? Rather, have you heard of it? It works like a pair of tweezers, only more efficiently and faster (because it is electric). It plucks your hair at the follicle, in a way similar to waxing (only that waxing plucks the hair from the cells). The procedure is not without pain (just like waxing), please be warned, but the consolation (number one) is in the results. They last up to two weeks, and your skin retains this smooth, and silky feel all the while. Consolation number two; as you get used to this hair removal method, you feel the pain less. We could say your pain endurance levels improve. And, beauty has its price, no?

The Journey To Hairless Face Begins With One Of These Epilators

In this review, I will take you through my five best facial epilators, which I have used and verified. I intend to make this review as thorough and unbiased as possible. Here goes:

1. Braun Face 830 Hair Removal Epilator

I always say (and I hope manufacturers get to hear this) that if you are going to design a product for the ladies, make it aesthetically appealing. Braun got the memo, clearly, because all their products, this epilator included, are made to appeal. It not only looks got on your hand as your work your way to a hairless face, but it also fits perfectly in your handbag.

Pros

It has a slim head that is precise in its work. It makes it into areas that would otherwise be difficult to reach. The tweezers with 10 micro-openings are the best at catching the smallest hairs on your skin. You do have to wait for your hair to grow enough to be visible, as they quickly capture hairs 0.5mm long.

It is made to cater for your sensitive skin, so you have no worries using it on that mustache that you try to hide every three weeks or on your chin. It works efficiently, at 200 pluckings per second and can have you done with your job in only 30 seconds.

In the package is a facial brush that does more than just scrub off the surface. It exfoliates your skin to reveal a new and smoother you. It cleanses impurities six better than manual cleaning, all the while being gentle not to ruin your skin. Worried about today’s make-up? Just brush your skin with this oscillating brush and get rid of any leftover particles that could be damaging. The brush is battery operated and should be effective for up to three months. After this period, re-fill it to make it to keep it effective.

Cons

The AA batteries do not last long with this product. You are lucky if you use a pair for times. You have to keep changing to have it working right.

What Do I Think?

It is well priced. I like the fact that it is gentle on the skin and you can use it on your eyebrows. The brush feels like a second product that should have been priced separately; you get a great deal here: two great products for the price of one. It works fast, which is an added advantage especially for those of us who only note at the last minute that we need to pluck the mustache! This is the best face epilator as far as I know.

2. Remington EP1050CDN Facial Tweezer System

The first impression you get of this epilator is a pen. Okay, maybe not a pen passé, but it is compact and just cute. Fits it in the hand as though it was made for it. It is battery operated and has a lid to protect the tiny tweezers. This epilator is meant for sensitive areas of your body, so you can use it on your eyebrows if you have the knack for it. Is it painful, you ask? Yes, it is, but as you use it, the body adjusts to the pain. You can use it as often as weekly is you hate the feel of hair on your skin. It has a safety measure that I found quite interesting. It automatically goes off when you press it too hard on the skin.

Pros

It has a protective cap over its six tweezers to keep them safe from imminent destruction. The six tweezers capture hairs that are hardly visible to your naked eye (as short as 0.5mm) and remove them at the hair follicle, declaring you hairless for up to three weeks. This epilator will get rid of your facial hair in seconds, but you can also use it on other parts of the body such as the bikini area and your legs.

It leaves the skin smooth and silky, without the discoloration that comes with shaving or the excessive pain that waxing leaves.

It is beautifully designed and compact to fit easily into a handbag. It comes in attractive, playful colors. The size of it amazes me, as anybody with whichever size of hand can hold it without difficulty. Even better is that the size of it allows you to navigate areas that would otherwise be tricky, such as the upper lip. The weight? This lightweight is a mere 4 ounces.

Cons

Unfortunately, this epilator is not waterproof. This bummed me. I also do not like the fact that Remington EP1050CDN is a tad too loud. I was a bit scared of trying it on my face until I used it on my hand to ensure that it did not hurt. It takes a short minute to get used to it, though.

What Do I Think?

The price is great if you want a facial epilator for facial hair that will work on fine hair. It does not work best on coarse hair but does wonders with the face. I would recommend it for anyone who likes beautifully designed beauty products and had fine facial hair.

3. Emjoi Tweeze eRase e6

The Emjoi Tweeze eRase e6 facial epilator wins it for the design. It is beautiful, compact and everything you would want in a handheld beauty product. It has six tweezers, which work effectively together to pluck the finest of unwanted facial hairs, Designed specifically for the face, you may find it tedious for larger parts of the body, given its small footprint. The upside (one of many)? It handles the skin with gentle care and for this reason; I found it most suitable for sensitive skin.

Pros

Its lean make is ideal for travel. It is small enough to port in your handbag or your hand luggage but adequate to remove the unwanted hairs. It also helps that beautiful colors accompany the sleek design.

It is effective and plucks hair with the fewest of strokes. You do not have to pass through more than twice to have it pluck hairs as short as 0.5mm. I thought this was an advertising gimmick until I tried it and realized that it removes even week-old hairs.

It has six tweezers, which are arranged in rows of threes. They expertly pluck hair without pulling the skin around it so much, which is one of the reasons why people with sensitive skin wolf love this. The 2AA batteries will last you slightly longer than most battery-operated epilators. With 3-4 sessions, you can count on them to last you a month.

The erase-glide technology in this epilator enables it to glide back and forth on your skin to remove the hairs in record time. With 160 pluckings per second, you will be done in seconds. The effective tweezers are great for both fine and coarse hair types.

Cons

It is battery operated, so you have to keep them recharged. Too bad for you if the batteries run out on you midway. It is not super light either. It weighs 6.4 ounces, but that does not make it impossible to hold.

What Do I Think?

Fair warning, this facial epilator is quite noisy. However, this is made right in its ability to pluck both coarse and fine hair types. It is inexpensive too, which makes it an ideal investment for facial pluckings.

4. Philips HP6401 Satinelle Epilator

It is sleek and gray, cordless to give you plenty of space for navigation. It has two-speed settings that ensure you get the best out of your expedition. The efficiency cap ensures safety for the sensitive areas. It is less painful than most epilators since it does not pull the skin too much.

Pros

It has a removable head that you can run through water to keep it clean. If you are the kind with sensitive skin, its two-speed setting and efficiency cap will take care of your skin by ensuring just the right amount of pulling and tagging. This feature makes this epilator less painful while using.

The handle is comfortable to hold and helps you navigate even hard-to-epilate areas such as the upper lip. It works well with hair as short as 0.5mm.

This epilator is easy to use. You just need to plug it in (which is a relief for those who hate the idea of recharging batteries).

Cons

The electric use is a con to some people because it limits your use of it. For starters, you cannot use it in the shower.

I noted it is a bit loud; not too loud, but certainly louder than I would prefer.

It does not handle thick hair as well as I would have wished.

What Do I Think?

If you have fine hair and want a great performer at the cost of a champion, then this is the best epilator for face. It is compact and beautifully designed and does not need batteries. It is a winner.

5. Hangsun Facial Epilator

The package presents these five heads: a facial epilator head, a lady shaver head, a brush head, a hard skin remover head, and a facial massage head, all easily replaced for when you need to use them. It is long and sleek, but compact enough to fit in a handbag. The extra heads come at no additional cost.

Pros

The package consists of four other products to give you salon-class results at no extra cost. The brush is excellent at exfoliating your skin and deep cleansing it without causing it any harm. You eventually get a wrinkle-free skin with no embarrassing facial hairs. How great is that, getting five products for your make-up table for the price of one?

Its nine micro-openings catch even the finest new growth (0.5m) and nip it in the bud. It works fast and keeps you hairless for at least three weeks.

This epilator is compact and can get to each area of your body that has unwanted hair.

Cons

It is not a wet and dry epilator, so you cannot take it with you in the shower.

What Do I Think?

I am unable to look beyond the products that come with this epilator. It would be fair to say I am more in love with them than I am the epilator itself. But honestly, it is a great product worth every penny.
