The Mental Health Association of Portland is seeking a self-starter with proven communication skills to coordinate online educational conferences for professionals. We value creativity, engagement, and energy.

The coordinator works closely with the facilitator to steward conference presenters from point of contact though event day and thank yous. This work includes online message coordination, scheduling, updating the conference website, coaching presenters, tracking sales and attendance, supporting sponsor sales and individual registrations, promptly responding to questions via email and phone, working with graphic designer and event technical crew, surveying attendees, and writing a final report for sponsors.

We use a variety of online tools to create the conference and the successful candidate will be a strong user of Google Suite.

This is a perfect opportunity for a part-time student or a stay-at-home parent who is seeking additional income and meaningful work experience in a relaxed work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the facilitator to develop and execute MHAP’s conference strategy
  • Creating online mailings using Canva, Jotform, WordPress, and Constant Contact
  • Work with technical crew for pre-recordings and live event
  • Update website and social media
  • Create reports for internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • At least two years of work experience
  • Strong written and speaking communication skills with attention to detail
  • Experience using a Google Suite
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to MHAP’s mission and equity and inclusion values
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
