Tags: baby parent

Parenting is one of the most demanding jobs and this has been confirmed through the experiences of new parents over time. It is not as easy as many would think until that time comes actually comes. From the right feeding of goat milk formula diets and others to taking extra care of the child is no walk in the park. The minute new parents are released, perhaps from hospital after successfully having a new born Baby for the first time, they are immediately invited to a very serious journey of raising children and building a family. The following tips can be considered by new parents as they begin their journey of fitting into their roles. They include:

1. Good family health

What the mother consumes is what goes to the baby as the baby breastfeeds hence the health of the mothers is of great importance because she is the source of the most important substance that the baby depends on entirely in the early years especially between the ages of 0 to 6 months. Good family health also involves appropriate physical and psychological state of the parents for this will ensure that the new parents duly appreciate the sensitive role before them.

2. Keep a record of what the baby feeds

It is necessary for new parents to keep track of what they feed their baby from birth. This would help them follow progress of the baby’s growth even as they monitor the baby’s development. It is a positive thing to also note what comes out of the feeding pattern of the child and this can be done through taking record how often the child excretes and if they do so in proper patterns.

3. Your baby should always be resting

This will ensure that the baby’s biological system does not strain due to extended activity of the baby’s system at early stage. This will prevent over stimulation and allows the baby’s organs to function properly. Your baby should be active at least every two hours followed by a good amount of rest for proper growth and development.

4. You should feed your baby immediately he or she wakes up

The most appropriate time to feed your baby is when he or she has just woken up.This is so because during sleeping period the baby’s system will tend to be very active and often most energy is used during sleeping hours. Feeding after sleep is therefore most advisable.

5. Handling the baby accordingly in the new environment

It is important for new parents to appreciate the fact that the baby is now operating under new dispensation. While in the mother’s womb, the environment was different. In the womb, there was little noise and the baby was fixed in a specific position the entire period before birth. Therefore to adjust the baby to a noisy environment, use items such as white noise to remedy the effect and to prevent the baby from startling.
