Life Update with Boxing and Muay Thai | ROSÉ

It feels so weird writing here, or everywhere, really. I haven’t had the time to sit down and write about my life update or what I’ve been up to.

I never felt good in my skin, and I don’t think I’ve really enjoyed doing any home workouts lately. While I do enjoy sweating profusely and moving around, I don’t think I’ve felt the best these past few months, or ever since this pandemic started. Especially if your environment isn’t the best.

Recently, my 22-year old niece asked me if I wanted to go to the gym with her. I was hesitant at first because I don’t like being around people and having them judge me by how I look like. I loathe it when I gain weight. I always feel ugly when I do.

But I told myself that things would probably be alright and nothing will happen if I let my insecurity get the best of me, so I signed up for one. And honestly, just by visiting the gym when we were signing up felt like it’s a place where I wouldn’t feel too insecure. And I wasn’t wrong.

Boxing is something I have always wanted to learn, and I’m so glad they have Boxing and even Muay Thai classes. Working out has never been fun, and everyone is very friendly. It’s not just a class, it’s a community. Even the coaches are so friendly! I always find myself looking forward to attending these classes. I think I can safely say that gym is my safe place. It gives me peace, away from all the negativity, and I’m losing weight while still having fun!

I’m so glad I signed up. Probably one of the best decisions I’ve done this year!
