A multi-concept dining and drinking spot is on its way to the heart of Boston, and three familiar names are behind it.
The Boston Globe is reporting that Somaek, Temple Records, and Sushi @ Temple Records will be opening in Downtown Crossing, moving into a space on Temple Place that is just off Boston Common. The article mentions that Jamie Bissonnette (former partner at Coppa, Little Donkey, Toro, and Faccia e Faccia) along with Andy Cartin and Babak Bina (both of whom are involved with JM Curley, Bogie's Place, and the Wig Shop) will run the place via their new BCB3 restaurant group, with Somaek being a Korean restaurant offering dishes inspired by Bissonnette's Korean mother-in-law (who is also a menu consultant), Temple Records being a listening bar that features Bissonnette's varied record collection, and Sushi @ Temple Records including a long, narrow 20-seat sushi bar underneath Temple Records. If all goes as planned, the new spot will debut in March.
