Gather and Brew in Boston's Seaport District Have Closed

A Restaurant and a cafe on the Boston waterfront have both shut down.

According to a source, Gather restaurant and Brew cafe in the city's Seaport District have closed, with the Gather website saying that the space is currently open only for private events and the Brew website saying that it is closed to the public "for the time being." In addition, notes on the websites for the two places (which were both operated by The Briar Group) say the following:

After 10 years in the Seaport neighborhood, Gather & Brew Café will close as we approach the end of our lease at District Hall. We're so grateful to everyone who has visited over the years, brunched with us, shared a drink, or hosted an event in our space. We look back fondly at where we started in 2013 as one of the original Seaport restaurants; it's been a joy to witness the transformation of this area and to grow along with it.

The notes refer customers to other dining and drinking spots run by The Briar Group, including The Harp, MJ O'Connor's, City Table, City Bar, Solas, Ned Devine's, Hurricane's, Broken Records, Glass House, The Beth, and Six String, and gift cards to Gather and Brew can be used at any of these places.

The address for Gather and Brew was 75 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA, 02210.
