Szechuan Mountain House Opens in Allston

A trio of restaurants with roots in New York City and which are known for their spicy Sichuan fare have been joined by a new outlet in the local area after being in the works for a bit more than a year.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Szechuan Mountain House is now open in Allston, moving into a space at the corner of Brighton Avenue and Linden Street. The menu for the new spot includes such options as poached chicken, beef tongue, spicy and sour soup with slices of beef, braised frog meat, stir-fried pork liver and kidney, braised fish heads, stir-fried lobster, braised shredded eel, braised lamb spine, dry fried whole striped bass, sizzling crispy tofu, and steamed egg with shrimp.

Szechuan Mountain House first started out in the East Village of Manhattan in 2015; two other locations can be found in the Flushing section of Queens and in Los Angeles.

The address for the new location of Szechuan Mountain House in Allston is 89 Brighton Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134. The website for all locations is at https://www.szechuanmountainhouse.com/
