Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar Plans to Open in the PlantPub Space in Boston's Fenway

It looks like the Fenway location of a vegan pub could be saying farewell, and a South Boston restaurant known for its Mexican fare and seafood could be taking over the space.

According to a licensing hearing page within the City of Boston website, PlantPub in the Fenway is looking to transfer its liquor license to Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar, which would be opening at that Brookline Avenue address. It appears that this would be a second location of the W Broadway spot rather than a move, though if we hear otherwise, we will post an update here.

PlantPub first opened in the Fenway last July, taking over the former Boston BeerWorks space; the original location of the pub can be found in the Kendall Square section of Cambridge.

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar is part of the Broadway Restaurant Group, which includes Lincoln Tavern, Capo, Fat Baby, and Hunter's Kitchen, all of which reside in South Boston.

The address for the Fenway location of PlantPub (and the proposed outlet of Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar) is 61 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA, 02215.
