Being your own Boss is something I highly recommend but it isn’t a decision to be taken lightly.
Here are the 3 questions I believe everyone should ask before they make the commitment.
1. Do I want the responsibility?
Becoming your own boss means the buck stops with you. If you can’t get enough customers, if your equipment breaks or if you just can’t be bothered today – it’s your responsibility!
2. How much money will I need?
When you undertake a new project I always find it costs more than you budgeted for.
A good rule of thumb is to anticipate it’ll cost twice as much as you initially think.
3. What’s my endgame?
What is your exit strategy? If you run out of Money or decide it isn’t for you, how are you going to move on?
Assuming you’re successful you’ll need to plan how you are going to sell and who to.
Summary
There are a number of questions I believe you should ask before starting any project but the first 3 are;
- Do I want the responsibility?
- How much money will I need?
- What’s my endgame?
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post and journaled your 3 points of value.
See you soon and have a great day
