The First Step to Riches

Tags: idea book

The rich save and spend what’s left, the poor spend and save what’s left.

It’s a very subtle difference in mentality between the poor and the rich but it makes all the difference.

The Idea is simple, everyone can do it and that’s why I like it. The only downside being, its easy not to do.

Some believe that to become rich they need to think of something incredibly complex which only they can do. When in fact the opposite is true, the ideas which are straight forward and can be replicated are the ideas that make people wealthy.

To reinforce that point here’s a fantastic Jim Rohn quote;

“You don’t have to do extraordinary things; you just have to do ordinary things extraordinary well”

Save first…

If you want to be wealthy you’ll need two things, an idea and money to back it.

Ideas

Ideas come from inspiration. To be inspired your mind needs to be in a positive state, thinking good thoughts not bad.

Reading is one way to be inspired along with audio books. If you want wealth ideas, read a Book on money. If you want health ideas, read a book on health. It’s that simple.

Ideas tend to sneak into your mind when you least expect it and without warning. You could be washing dishes and an idea could float on by that could totally transform your life. That’s why I always carry a pocket journal because if you’re anything like me, you’ll know, you cannot trust your memory.

You’ll need money honey

Now I’m not suggesting you’ll need a life changing amount but most ideas require some money. This is where the first step to riches comes in: Saving 10% of your income.

If you haven’t got the desire and discipline to save you’ll never be wealthy. It’s just like I said earlier, it’s simple to do but it’s also simple not to do. Do not overlook this step on your journey to untold riches.

Every month that passes you’ll be adding 10% to the pot. Until you’ve saved enough to invest in the new ideas that come your way.

A brilliant book to inspire wealth ideas is The Richest Man in Babylon by George S.Clason.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Reading this book is another simple idea that’s easy not to do. Are you going to be the top 5% of people who chooses to read this book? I hope so!

Summary
