Saudi Arabia offers 50% discount on Traffic fines

The Ministry of the Interior in Saudi Arabia has announced a 50% discount on total traffic fines incurred before April 18, 2024 (9/10/1445 AH). Most Viewed : Iqama must be valid, in order to issue or cancel final exit visa

This is in accordance with the orders of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz, with an aim to incentivize violators to pay their fines.

- This program is an effort from the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Saudi Ministry of Finance to encourage people who violated the rules to pay off their fines within six months from when the program began, either all at once or one by one, without committing any safety-related violations.

Following the implementation of this reduction, the Ministry made it clear that Article 75 of the Traffic Law would be applicable for violations occurring after this discount period. Read : Riyadh Airport launches e-Passport gates

- After the objection time and the legally defined payment deadline have passed, failure to pay the fine may result in imprisonment and enforcement measures, in addition to a 25% reduction for a single offense, as provided for in this article.

- In order to keep everyone safe, it stressed that everyone using the roads should follow the rules of the road.
