Gates for Entry and Exits of Umrah pilgrims at Makkah Grand Mosque during Ramadan


Several gates of the Grand Mosque in Makkah have been designated to receive Umrah pilgrims by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. This aligns with the start of the blessed month of Ramadan, which is when the yearly Umrah season finds its peak. Trending Video : Saudi Arabia welcomed over 100 million tourists last year



Several government agencies that operate within the Makkah Grand Mosque were involved in the new arrangements coordination. Millions of worshippers from all over the globe and the Kingdom are expected to make the journey during the holy month of Ramadan.

- To make sure the pilgrims and worshipers can do their rites in comfort and ease, the Saudi authorities have organized all the procedures and preparations.

The Grand Mosque can be accessed by Umrah pilgrims by the following gates, King Abdulaziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, Umrah Gate, Al-Salam Gate, and doors 85–93 on the ground floor (with the exception of gate 88), Ajyad Staircase, Ajyad Bridge, Shubaika Stairways of 65–66, King Fahd Stairways of 91–92, and Stairway 84. - With the exception of the Al-Shubika staircase, which is reserved for use in emergency situations, the following exits are marked, side crossings 78–80, stairway 74, regular stairways 71–73–85–88, the King Fahd staircase, doors 75–77 and 81–83.

- On the ground floor, you'll find King Abdulaziz Gate, King Fahd Gate, Umrah Gate, and Al-Zubair Gate. On the first floor, you will find King Fahd Elevators. On the second floor, you will find Al-Arqam Stairway, Umrah Gate, Ajyad Stairway, and Marwa Stairway elevators. Finally, there's a roof accessible to those with special needs.
