Saudi Supreme Court announced, 11th March is the 1st day of Holy Ramadan 2024


The Royal Court in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its statement announced that the Supreme Court declared that Tomorrow, Monday, 11th March 2024 will be the first day of the Holy month Ramadan for this year 1445 AH (2024 AD) in the country. According to the reports, the Ramadan 2024 crescent was sighted at the Sudair observatory of Saudi Arabia on the Sunday evening. Taraweeh prayers to begin from Today all over the Kingdom.

- Muslims fast from dawn until sunset during Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. They don't eat or drink during this time.

- During the holy month, Muslims read  Qur'an more, recite taraweeh, and do more good deeds, including charity donations, as a way to reflect on their faith and strengthen their community. See Also : Saudi Arabia to celebrate Saudi Flag Day on 11th March

- United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and other GCC states except the Sultanate of Oman also announced that 11th March is the beginning of the Holy month in the country.

- Meanwhile, Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Oman and Brunei announced that 12th March is the first day of the Ramadan 2024 in their country, as they were unable to sight the crescent of the holy month.
