Saudi Supreme Court calls for Ramadan Crescent sighting on Sunday evening


The Saudi Supreme Court has issued an appeal to all Muslims in the Kingdom to observe the Ramadan crescent on March 10, 2024, at sunset, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, which is Sunday, 29th Sha'ban 1445 AH.  Trending : Ramadan 2024 is expected to start from this date, in Saudi Arabia



For Muslims around the world, this observation marks the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan the sacred month of fasting, prayer, self-analysis, and community.

- Anyone who can see the crescent moon with or without binoculars is encouraged by the Supreme Court to report their sightings, so that the start of Ramadan can be precisely determined.

- Anyone who sees the Ramadan crescent should go to the nearest or local court to officially register their evidence. They also have the option of contacting the local center, which will provide them with the necessary information to reach the closest court and report their sighting.
