Several expats arrested for Cover-Up in Jeddah


In the raids on the main veggie market and other public utility markets in the Jeddah governorate, teams from the National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment (tasattur) have found 15 cases of tasattur (Cover-up). Trending : Saudi Arabia sets dress code for bus drivers



A number of people who broke the law were arrested, and businesses that were involved in the crimes were penalized with legal action.

- A number of public utilities were searched by members of the program's joint teams. There were people from the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development among them.

- The offenders were called in by the authorities to finish the legal process against them.

- The inspection teams checked the validity of business records, city licenses, licenses needed to do activities, and work activities listed on work permits to make sure that illegal immigrants are not being hired.

- Anti-Commercial Concealment Law says that people who violate this law can go to jail for up to five years, pay a fine of up to 5 million riyals, and have their illegal funds seized and taken away after the courts make their final decisions.
