5 Airports top the report of Civil Aviation on the performance of Saudi Airports


Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, Dammam's King Fahd International Airport, Abha International Airport, Al-Jouf Airport and Al-Qurayyat Airport ranked advanced positions in the monthly report of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) on the performance of the Kingdom's International and Domestic Airports, for the month of September 2022. The report was issued based on 14 basic performances criteria, in implementation of the strategic decisions aimed at improving the services provided to passengers, raising the level and improving the passenger experience at the Kingdom's airports.

- The GACA followed the principle of transparency evaluating the performance of airports, as it was divided into 5 categories, starting with the international airports category, in which the number of passengers exceeds 15 million passengers annually, Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport ranked first with a commitment rate of 82%, while Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport comes in second place with a commitment rate of 55%. - In the 2nd category of International airports where the number of passengers are between 5 to 15 million annually, here King Fahd International Airport ranked first with 91%, while Madina's Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport got 82%.





- In the 3rd category of international airports where the number of passengers are between 2 to 5 million passengers annually, Abha International Airport ranked first with 100%, While Jizan's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport ranked 2nd with 88%.

- The 4th category of international airports with less than 2 million passengers annually, Al-Jouf Airport ranked first with 100%, outperforming competing airports in total average waiting times for the departure and arrival flights. - The 5th category for domestic airports, where Qurayyat ranked first, achieving a percentage of 100%, outperforming all competing airports in the total average waiting times for the departure and arrival flights.
