A young journalism professional when I joined Infocom Network Ltd, (tradeindia.com) in 2003, like many youngsters, I was looking to change the society, and immediately saw the same passion in our CEO, Mr. Bikky Khosla, who had interviewed me on that fateful day in October. His uncompromising determination to help the exporters and importers of the country on the face on a tumultuous economic scenario then inspired me a lot.

During this decade-long stint in Tradeindia, the Management has always acknowledged my efforts, and was all ears to my suggestions and ideas. I also got the opportunity to represent the company in some of the prestigious international trade fairs in Germany, Italy and Turkey and on several other platforms.

When it comes to do research, or to analyse, I give credit to my seniors, especially the current COO, Mr. Sandip Chhettri, who is always open to trying different things, do research, learn new topics, and shoulder more responsibilities. I would like to thank the seniors for giving me the free hand to take decisions and share ideas and subsequently implement them.

The top management is accessible – you can go to them, talk to them, share ideas and in return they give you the freedom to implement things. The management never reprimands you for mistakes; on the contrary they feel that if you are not doing any mistakes, you are not trying enough.

When you get mentors like our CEO, COO, you are bound to grow and it goes without saying that the seniors helped me a lot in transforming my mistakes into skills.

I sincerely hope that I will continue to receive the encouragement from the management and I too continue to learn new things from my senior and junior colleagues alike.
