Overview:
Family Guy is a GREAT Animated Comedy. When you hear animated you may think it's a children's show, but I can assure you it's not. Similar to Seth McFarland's other show, American Dad, this show is about a suburban Family who get into all sorts of hilarious misadventures. Peter Griffin, the wacky dad, and his lazy friends get into all sorts of trouble, as do his misfit children, Chris, Meg, and the baby evil genius, Stewie. In each episode the first 5-10 minutes is a story line leading up to the main plot of said episode. One of my favorite things about this show is their "cutaway gags" that always relate to a twist on hilarious real wold connections. Whether the cutaway is "Canadian Alcatraz" or "Cosmos Edited for Rednecks", it's always hilarious. Some jokes may be taken a little too far, but other than that the jokes are very entertaining. This is my second favorite animated comedy, right behind American Dad. There is only one reason I like American Dad more and that's because it is purely comedy, while Family Guy has more emotion built into their story lines. It may be #2 in my book, but it is definitely a must-watch show.
