Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out & Youth Sing Out

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage has broadcast its Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out, and Youth Sing Out essay service contest winners. This contest honors young people in grades six through twelve for their work in the field of social justice and acceptance. It also awards scholarships for students who are working to address anti-bias issues.

The program has changed a lot over the years. After COVID introduced new school restrictions, the Stop the Hate program had to adapt. Today, the program is still focused on youth empowerment. In addition to the essay contests, the Youth Sing Out songwriting contest has helped youth express their voices and earn money to pay for college.

Launch event

The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is hosting an essay contest to celebrate the voices of the youth in Northeast Ohio.
