Nissan have produced many stunning and iconic cars over the years. Take the Skyline GT-R, for example. Despite its age, people still import them from Japan and use them as high-performance daily drivers. While others prefer to use them just on the track.

One of the current performance models that Nissan offer is the 370Z, and it’s a car that I have fallen in love with. But what makes this car so special over others in its class? Let me share with you just some of the reasons why I’ve taken a fancy to it:

It has stunning, fresh styling

When Nissan design sports cars, they take into account the fact that many international markets will likely buy it. While it’s true that some of its models only get sold in Japan, most are sold in various international markets.

To appeal to a global audience, Nissan must ensure their sports car offer desirable looks in all corners of the world. There’s no denying that the svelte and sculpted looks of the Nissan 370Z fulfil those requirements.

Like its predecessors, the 370Z is also one of those sports cars that will look great in several years, not just for today.

It’s a powerful beast

When you look at specialist cars at Redline, for example, the deciding factor for your next car will be its performance. The last thing you will do is buy a sports car that doesn’t offer any decent power!

The Nissan 370Z comes with a 3.7-litre V6 engine. As standard, it offers 323 brake horsepower. It will get you to 60 mph from a standing start in only 5.1 seconds. Although most will come with a six-speed manual transmission, you can opt for one with a seven-speed auto gearbox.

I’m not going to mention CO2 emissions figures here because, quite frankly, they are awful. But if you’re buying a sports car, you’re not getting it because you want a frugal vehicle that offers high fuel economy. You buy one because you have a need for speed!

If you’re worried about poor fuel economy, do what most other drivers do and buy a second yet eco-friendly car.

It can handle any road situations you throw at it

One of the key features about the Nissan 370Z is that it handles all kinds of driving situations well. For instance, in extreme driving, it’ll deal with wet roads or extreme cornering without fault. And that’s what people like me love about the 370Z!

I don’t know about you, but when I buy a sports car, I expect it to deal with all kinds of conditions on the road in stock form. You might think I am biased because of my obvious love of this car. But you should take one out for a test drive; only then will you see what I mean when I say its handling is superb.

As standard, the car comes with a limited-slip differential and torque vectoring. That, along with tuned suspension, helps the car drive like a go-kart on the road or the track!
