SKE are one of the largest and most successful disposable vape manufacturers and they are looking to diversify into the e-liquid market with the release of the SKE Crystal Original nicotine salt range.
They are one of the most recognisable names in the industry right now, thanks to the runaway success of their SKE Crystal Bar disposable vapes. Which are sold absolutely everywhere right now, from bricks and mortar vape shops right through to large supermarkets.
SKE originally launched this range last year with ten flavours and they have recently updated the range with fifteen new flavours. You can read our review on the original ten from the range here!
We’ve got these new flavours to review thanks to Vape Club, so let’s dive in and have a look…
What Can We Expect From The SKE Crystal Original E-liquid Range?
SKE are following in a long line of disposable vape manufacturers by releasing some of the best flavours from the SKE Crystal disposables range as nicotine salt e-liquids. This is something I love to see as it will convince more people to switch over from throwaway disposable vapes to more environmentally friendly pod systems!
With the addition of these 15 e-liquids, you’ve now got a massive 25 different fruity flavours to pick from here. SKE are really covering all the bases and giving you plenty of options!
These are produced in the UK to TPD compliant standards in 10ml bottle sizes. They are mixed to a 50/50 VG/PG ratio and you have the choice of 10mg or 20mg nicotine salt strength.
By using nicotine salt instead of traditional freebase nicotine, you get a nicotine hit that is absorbed into the bloodstream much quicker. Giving you quicker satisfaction for your nicotine craving and the ability to vape higher nicotine strengths without a harsh throat hit.
Before I start this review off, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective. I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid.
Your experience may differ as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
For this review, I’ll be using my SXMini Puremax pod kit with a 0.6ohm pod and my Vaporesso XROS Pro pod kit with a 0.4ohm pod. The nicotine strength of the e-liquids I was sent is 10mg.

VMT Ice

From the name alone, you can probably guess what SKE are trying to do here with this particular flavour!
I get the rich, sweet Blackcurrant flavour with a background of mixed fruits and a whole lot of sweetness. There’s even a slight hint of ice too, reminding me of a cold glass of a particular squash I was a big fan of as a child.
It is just how I expected it to taste, but a little too sweet for my palate. SKE have done well here to replicate the taste of a popular UK drink…cheeky!
Fizzy Cherry

We say
Sweet Cherry indeed, this is a very sweet almost candied like Cherry flavour here! It manages to remain quite bold and rich as well and the flavouring is turned right up here making it quite the punchy Cherry vape.
I don’t get any fizz at the end, but rather a sharp twang of sweetener, maybe that was their attempt at replicating the fizz?
Fruit Medley

We say
I’m not normally a fan of sweet e-liquids, but I must admit that I did actually quite enjoy this one. Must be the summery weather we’ve been having recently making this a great choice for a hot day!
It’s quite hard to work out what individual flavours are present here, as the flavouring is quite full on and hits you all at once. Though I would say that it seems to be a tropical mixture of fruit and there’s definitely some citrus present here too.
Menthol
They say

It’s a pretty clear and crisp menthol flavour that definitely does the job if this is your sort of thing.
There is the right balance of minty flavour and an icy hit, without it being face-meltingly overbearing.
It’s a good one to start off with if you have never tried a menthol e-liquid before and are considering giving one a go.
I do like a good menthol e-liquid from time to time and I couldn’t really fault this one.
Blueberry Raspberries

I’m not sure what was going on here, whether I got an incorrectly mixed bottle or this just tastes really bad, but I found this one to be hardly vapeable.
It’s strange as I have tried the disposable version of this e-liquid and it tasted nothing like this.
It tasted so harsh and had a bad chemical taste to it, that I could hardly vape it.
I could detect the taste of Blueberry and Raspberry but that was quickly washed away by a really nasty taste. Not for me thanks.
I’ll award a point each for the presence of Blueberry and Raspberry flavour but that is about it!
Juicy Peach

A pretty pleasant tasting Peach e-liquid that doesn’t do anything special, but has a decent attempt at replicating the flavours you get from the fruit.
It has that sweetness and juiciness that you would expect, along with a pretty syrupy and sweet mouth feel to it.
Compared to a lot of the other flavours in the range, this one is actually quite subtle and a nice, refreshing change of pace.
Cola Ice

I’m quite enjoying vaping Cola flavours at the moment and this one is definitely an enjoyable one!
It offers a pretty authentic Cola flavour that is more akin to a Cola sweet rather than a drink. With a well-balanced level of sweetener and a nice chill at the end of it.
It is easy enough for me to vape on all day long without getting tired of it.
Watermelon Strawberry

Nope, this is far too over-flavoured and too sweetened for me, even for a bar salt.
The Watermelon and Strawberry flavours are so strong. Tthe level of sweetener is high, it pretty much made my face curl up. There’s no subtlety with this e-liquid!
I get some people enjoy this but not me thanks!
Pineapple Peach Mango

Mmm, another tropical mix!
This is actually quite a well blended one, I really did think this would be really overflavoured and oversweetened but I was pleasantly surprised here.
I get all three of the flavours, with Peach just standing out from the Pineapple and Mango flavour and a pretty sweet finish to it. Quite moreish I must say!
Yes, the flavour overall is quite strong and punchy, but it actually is well blended.
Watermelon Cherry

I think this one packs a bit too much flavour for its own good!
The Watermelon and Cherry flavours hit simultaneously when I take a puff on this and it almost tastes like they are fighting each other for dominance.
It is a very sweet, watery and rich vape and I did feel that the Watermelon and Cherry flavourings tasted a little too artificial.
Fresh Mojito Menthol

I was keen to give this one a go as I have had it a couple of times in the past as a disposable vape and I’m happy to see it available as an e-liquid now!
I wasn’t disappointed either, in fact this exceeds the disposable version in terms of tasty flavour I would say.
It is much more like a Mojito in a pod system. There’s a syrupy sweetness with a touch of lime at the start, which then gives way to a hint of a crisp mint flavour and an icy finish. Hats off to SKE for this one, the blending of the flavours is impeccable.
I’m not ashamed to say that this bottle barely lasted me a day, I enjoyed it that much!

Triple Mango

I like Mango flavour, I like strong Mango flavour, so yes – this one definitely appeals to me!
You’ve got strong flavour and that flavour is pretty authentic which is what I like to see. It is sweet too and there’s just a hint of a cooling sensation in the background.
It’s well blended and authentic tasting, definitely one to check out if you like Mango flavoured e-liquid!
Gami Rare

This is just too sweet for me and there’s just a bit too much going on.
Along with the hefty punch of sweetener, there’s a lot of different flavours present. Strong flavours too. It’s like shoving a handful of Gummy Bears in your mouth all at once. It’s a full on assault of sweet flavouring!
Just a bit too much for me.
Strawberry Kiwi

These two flavours do blend together pretty well in this vape and there’s plenty of sweetener present in it for your sweet tooth.
I get a really sweet Strawberry flavour at the start, which subsequently gives way to the Kiwi.
The Kiwi flavouring was just a touch too subtle for me if I’m being picky, but I can definitely pick up on it as more of a background note to the Strawberry flavouring.
Pineapple Ice

Love them or hate them, no range of bar salts is truly complete without a Pineapple Ice e-liquid!
It’s pretty good if I’m honest and I must have tried an absolute ton of Pineapple Ice e-liquids over time.
I like the fact that this has a pretty strong chill at the end of it, nothing subtle about it! It blends well with the Pineapple flavour which features the right notes, tasting like a Pineapple juice which is what I like.
Enjoyable stuff!
Final Review Verdict
With SKE now making the jump and releasing their most popular disposable flavours in e-liquid form, there really is no better time to make the switch from disposable vapes to refillable pod systems. With the money you’ll save and the positive environmental impact from ditching the disposables there’s no excuse either.
Overall, these were a bit of a mixed bag. I did feel that the flavours were bolder and richer than the disposable versions right across the board. I have tried quite a few of the SKE Crystal Bars in the past and I did find those to be a bit hit and miss for me too!
That isn’t taking away from how good some of the flavours are here. There are definitely some gems to be found amongst this range. With the Cola Ice, Fresh Mojito Menthol and Triple Mango particular highlights for me. These are flavours that I would definitely order again from this range, I really did enjoy vaping away on these.
And honestly, I think they will be perfect for anyone who is switching over from the SKE Crystal Bars, or any disposable for that matter to a refillable pod kit.
As I’ve said, the flavours are even better than the disposable versions, so don’t hesitate to make the switch over!
I think that given the huge reputation that they have built up with the runaway success of the SKE Crystal Bars, these e-liquids are going to be a big hit. Especially as disposables are phased out of the market in the UK.
