The Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA is a new variant in the massive Dead Rabbit collection.

There are loads of them – breeding like Rabbits – which began with the original Dead Rabbit RDA and RTA, followed by the V2 RDA and RTA and THEN the V3 RDA, RTA, Pro and Max versions. Plus more that I haven’t listed!

What To Expect From The Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA…

So why is the Dead Rabbit Solo RTA different from its predecessors?

This is an RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomiser) so you build your own Coil and install it into the deck with cotton wicking. This is so much cheaper than pre-made coil heads and gives more versatility as you can customise the resistance.

The previous Dead Rabbit RTA’s were designed for single or dual coils. However due to the limits of the Airflow system it was hard to get the airflow correct for a single coil as it was tailored more towards dual coils.

To rectify this, the Solo (as the name suggests) is designed for just one coil meaning the coil will sit central on the deck surrounded by the incoming airflow.

Talking of airflow this is a top airflow tank, which should help reduce the chance of leakage. Bottom airflow tanks can often suffer from the e-liquid seeping through the bottom airflow inlets.

The airflow is also adjustable by turning the ring located on the top of the tank.

Looking at the deck, this is a postless design which means there is more room around the coil and the clamp screws are located in the sides of the deck. There are 4 coil clamps to choose from to suit whichever way the coil has been wound.

When it comes to filling – a slide top cap gives easy access to the fill port. The standard e-liquid capacity is 4ml, however for us poor buggers in TPD regulated areas it will be reduced to 2ml.

I do like the idea of a version for those who prefer to use single coils as some dual coil tanks are a bit of a bodge in single coil mode.
