What Can We Expect From The Crystal Clear Bar E-liquid Range?

Apparently the flavours were all blind tested and the Crystal Clear e-liquids came out top in every test.
The liquids are packaged in a very tall cardboard outer packaging with all the details you need to know.
Inside the box the e-liquid bottle is enclosed in a sealed bag and full instructions are provided.
In addition to the sealed bag, the e-liquid bottle is shrink-wrapped too. I like these details as it proves the bottle has not been tampered with.
The boxes also carry the logos of Voopoo and OXVA as these are the Crystal Clear brands official sponsors.
Specifications
These come in TPD Compliant 10ml bottles with either 10mg or 20mg Nicotine Salt strengths.
The e-liquid mix ratio is 60%PG / 40%VG which is more suitable for low power kits. This mix is too thin for higher power kits and may cause leaks and spitting.
With this having more PG than VG this means the throat hit will hit harder, so is ideal for MTL vapers who prefer the sensation of cigarette smoking. We tell you more about this in our Guide To Vape Styles.
Therefore you would need a low powered pod kit, starter kit, vape pen or MTL tank to get the best experience with this e-liquid. No point in using this on coils below around 0.6ohm unless you want a mouth full of hot spitty e-liquid.
There are 20 flavours to choose from which have been based on the most popular disposable vape flavours.
For this review I received the following 5 flavours in 10mg Nic Salt strength…
- Fizzy Cherry
- Mixed Berries
- Blue Razz Lemonade
- Gummy Bear
- Red Apple Ice
I will be using a Geekvape Ammit MTL RDA attached to my Freemax Maxus 50W mod.
For each liquid I did a dry burn to clean the coil and installed new Cotton Bacon Prime Wicking.
Fizzy Cherry
Crystal Clear Says:
Fizzy and sweet cherry candy flavours that will leave your taste buds tingling.
I Say…
This is the flavour I have been looking forward to the most – I love a bit of Cherry!
The smell from the bottle reminds me of one of my favourite sweets – “Cherry Lips” – the tiny, rock hard jelly sweets.
However when vaping this is not a sweet one! In fact it is very sour – it makes the area around your jaw twang a bit!
I am not normally a fan of sour flavours but this has the fizzy aspect which makes it feel like a Cherry sweet with the sour sugar coating. For my own preference I would prefer a sweeter flavour, but this still has appeal to me!
So I have dropped a mark as the description said “Fizzy and Sweet”. The members of the fizzy department have arrived, but the sweet department seems to be on leave.

Mixed Berries

I Say…
The smell of this reminds me of my favourite Ribena Blackcurrant Cordial / Squash.
So I am expecting the Blackcurrant to be the dominant flavour.
What I do get when vaping is a very cold blast – I was not expecting the Koolada / Icy sensation!
This is a true mash up of berries as I cannot pick out the most prominent, but it is definitely froooooty!
The Koolada whips most of the taste away on the inhale and leaves me with the flavour on the exhale.
I am getting a concentrated Vimto vibe, akin to drinking the squash / cordial before adding water.
This is a bit overpowering to be honest, but the level of flavour it’s kicking out is definitely what you would expect from a disposable vape. However this has been achieved in a low power RDA at 18 Watts!
I did think I would love this one but the synthetic perfume like overpowering flavour and harsh cold blast are not a winner with me. I am someone who prefers a strong flavour as I dislike overly diluted vapes, but this is too strong even for me!
Blue Razz Lemonade

I Say:
This smells exactly any other Blue Razz Lemonade e-liquid I have tried in the past. In fact it smells delicious!
There is a cold blast when you first inhale and then the Lemonade starts sparkling in your mouth.
As you exhale the Lemonade blends with the Raspberry notes and is beautiful.
This is blended so well to give you different experiences on the inhale and exhale.
The cooling effect is spot on and makes this even more refreshing. There is a citrusy tang and a sweet berry flavour left on your lips. The level of flavour is incredible.
I am finding this to be spot on and it tastes as delicious as it smells! Lovely job!
This is my favourite of the range!
Gummy Bear

A colourful and chewy Gummy Bear flavour that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I Say…
This definitely smells like a bag of mixed fruit Jelly sweets. This gives the exciting fragrance you get when opening a pack of Haribo Starmix! There are mainly Citrus vibes wafting out of the spout.
The flavour description of the Gummy Bears sweets are Apple, Lemon, Orange, Strawberry, Raspberry and Pineapple. In the UK I think the closest product are the Haribo Gold Bears.
The inhale feels cold to start with and there is a Melony Pineappley Mangoey medley on the exhale.
I am not a Mango or Melon vape fan unfortunately so this is really not a flavour for me.
I was expecting more Orange, Lemon and Lime flavours from the aroma of the liquid.
You do however get the “Merge” sensation, you know when you have a bag of mixed sweets and there is an overriding merged flavour on each individual sweet. Almost like they are tainted by the other sweets in the bag.
This is not what I was expecting at all, but I am sure this will be a winner with Mango, Pineapple and Melon fans. Just not for me.
Red Apple Ice
Crystal Clear Says:
A refreshing blend of crisp Red Apples and cool Menthol for a perfect all-day vape.
I Say:
This smells beautifully “Appley” and that is the only adjective I need!
And the vapour is just as yummy!
Again there is a strong flavour concentration and I do get a hint of cooling on the inhale too.
I wouldn’t say the cooling is “Menthol” – i.e. there is no Eucalyptus or Mint to ruin the Apples, but it is just the cold sensation.
This is almost like biting down on an Apple you have just run under icy cold water.
There is some added sweetness but this does not make it feel fake or synthetic, it simply enhances the natural Apple flavour. The flavour lingers for quite a while after you have exhaled too.
I would replace “Menthol” for “Ice” in the flavour description – because who wants Minty, Eucalyptus Apples? Urgh not me!
Yummo this is a beauty! Just don’t be expecting Menthol – instead you get the most delicious Apple you have ever chomped on!
Crystal Clear Bar E-liquid Final Review Verdict
On the whole the flavour output of these e-liquids is on par with what you would expect from a disposable vape.
Disposable vapes can use higher flavour concentrates as the coil life is not an issue. For instance with most e-liquids if the flavour concentrate is too high they can gunk up coils – which is not great if you are using a tank or pod – more expense on replacing pods or coils.
I only used an RDA to test these, as it would be expensive for me otherwise using a new pod or coil head for each flavour. I had no discolouration of the cotton wicking, but again I was not using these liquids for a prolonged time so I cannot comment on their impact on coil life.
A few flavours did not match the description so were marked down for that, whether I liked them or not.
Personally the Blue Razz Lemonade was my favourite with the Red Apple Ice and Fizzy Cherry coming close second.
I love the thought that has been put into making sure the bottles are tamper-proof – with a shrink wrap to the bottle which is then inserted into a sealed plastic bag.
Also the very thin bottle nozzle should be Pod friendly – for those devices with small fill ports.
The box gives you all the information you need including the liquid ratio and strength.
So if you want to upgrade from a disposable vape to something less expensive, less wasteful and with a lot more freedom, grab yourself a quality Pod Kit (such as the OXVA Xlim range, Uwell Caliburn range or the Voopoo Argus G) and some of the Crystal Clear Bar E-liquid!
