Today I’m going to be looking at the Lost Vape Centaurus Quest Q200 Kit, as a dual battery mod this kit comes along with the Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank.
Hailing from China, Lost Vape was established in 2013/4 by inventor Frank Guo. He established the company to bring devices to market that had functionality and a touch of class with ease of use in mind.
The Lost Vape team have produced many e-cigarette devices with ranges like the Centaurus, Ursa and Thelema and many more.
What to Expect From the Lost Vape Centaurus Q200 Kit?
This dual 18650 battery mod is one of the latest additions to the Centaurus range.
It is packed with features and its main brain is the Quest 2.0 chipset, which is fast and reliable (my opinion, it’s just as good as a DNA).
Just for jolly Lost Vape have designed the mod so the side panels are replaceable.
The output is up to 200W and will support a wide range of wire types!
Depending on availability, the kit can be purchased with either Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank (like mine) or with the UB Max magnetic Pod that comes with a 510 base.
There are 8 beautiful colour designs to choose from: SS & Teak Wood, Gunmetal & Walnut Wood, Black & Carbon Fibre, Sierra Blue & Carbon Fibre, Gold & Teak Wood, Matt Red & Carbon Fibre, Sakura Pink & Wave Pastel also Royal Blue & Wave Coral.
This kit was given to me as an early Christmas present.

Design and Build Quality
My device came well presented in a card box – as you can see I have the Sierra Blue & Carbon Fibre coloured design. This is the TPD version and comes with the 2ml Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank.
Lost Vape Centaurus Quest Q200 mod
Measuring 91mm tall or about 140mm with the tank, its width is 55mm and has an atomiser diameter of 26mm.
Made of Zinc Alloy and Stainless Steel this mod is nicely weighted right out of the box!

Both the flush connection plate and the 510 threading are Stainless Steel, the threads have been turned well and the connection has a gold-plated shallow throw spring-loaded pin.
Q200 Mod Workface
This device has a 0.96” colour TFT screen, a fire button plus 3 adjustment buttons. The centre button is for selection and below those is a type C USB charge port.
The screen is quite bright indoors but reading outside in direct sunlight is more difficult, the screen however does include everything you would expect to see on this type of device!
The fire and adjustment buttons are all made of metal and are super clicky!
Body of the device
Lost Vape have designed the mod to be ergonomically friendly – it has a rounded padded back.
The device chassis is made from Zinc Alloy and the sides of the body have removable magnetic side panels that are variably coated in different styles. BTW the kit includes a tool for removing the panels.
For advertising “Lost Vape” is printed on one side.
And, “Centaurus Quest” on the other!
Battery Door
This is a sliding door, push it forward it flips up to reveal the battery compartment and has the design and safety marks printed in white!
Once open you will see the gold-plated plate is stamped with + and – battery orientation marks.
Inside the Q200 Battery Case
The battery sled itself is made of plastic. Looking into the compartment there are two gold-plated spring-loaded contact points, the + and – battery orientation marks are again stamped into the metal.
The Centaurus Quest Q200 has very good quality it is an ergonomic design that feels great held in either hand!
Lost Vape Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank
Made of Stainless Steel, Delrin and Pyrex, this Sub Ohm tank is 25mm in diameter and the tank has 5 parts, not including the coil!
The base has the safety and design info printed on it and has a contact pin that is gold-plated. The 510 threading has been turned well.
Inside the base, you will see the reverse side of the gold-plated connection pin – it’s surrounded by a rubber ring and 4 protuberances that the coil sits on!
The chimney section is in one piece. On the top part of this section are 2 wide slots for filling, as well as having the L.V logo printed in white and 2 wide adjustable airflow slots.
To complete the tank it has a ¼ twist top cap and a Delrin 810 mouthpiece.
Two coils come with the kit.
- 0.15Ω UB Max coil Ni80 Mesh 80 to 120W
- 0.3Ω UB Max coil KTR Mesh 40 to 60W
And you will find a spare 2ml Pyrex tank in the box.
Overall I would say the Centaurus Sub Ohm tank is solid with good quality with a good design!
Quick Start Guide
- Insert your two 18650 batteries in the mod following the battery guide
You can charge the batteries via the USB C port, but as always, I recommend the use of an external charger!
The Centaurus Sub Ohm Tank
- Choose your coil, remove the tank base, prime the coil with a few drops of liquid covering all exposed cotton and then press into the tank.
- Replace the base and remove the ¼ turn top cap and fill the tank.
- Screw the tank onto the Q200 device and leave it alone for at least 3 minutes before firing, this allows the cotton to soak up more liquid.
Basic Operation of the Centaurus Q200 Mod
- Turn on and off press the fire button x5
- Highlight the power bar and use the adjustment buttons to select user mode – Power (Variable Wattage), Voltage (Variable Voltage), Temperature control (SS316, SS904, Ni, Ti), Bypass and VPC (Variable Power Curve).
From the main screen highlight and select settings, this menu includes – Atomiser, screen, colour, user, reset and about and back– hit the fire button for selection.
- To lock and unlock the adjustment buttons, press and hold the up and down buttons; the device will still fire
- This device will fire from 5 to 200W (and does round robin) and it has 4 protections
How Does the Lost Vape Centaurus Q200 Kit Perform?
For this review, I will be using the kit with the 0.3Ω coil (I’m allergic to Nickel), but I will stick an RTA on with a Stainless Steel coil to test out the temp control side of things later. For liquid, I will be using Zeus Proper Vape “Citrus Drink”.
Lost Vape Centaurus Quest Q200 kit in Use
Starting at 25W with the 0.3Ω coil and the airflow cut to less than ¼ open, I was able to get a fair representation of a mouth-to-lung vape while bedding the coil in. The warmth was cool the resulting vapour was OK as was the flavour.
Opening the airflow up to ½ open and whacking the wattage up to 35W produced good vapour and a fairly good flavour for a restricted direct-to-lung vape. Then 55W with full airflow and direct-to-lung style of vape, the result was much more warm vapour production with a fairly good flavour.
I tested the Temp Control using my Dead Rabbit M Tank with fresh cotton and a new strip of 0.15Ω SS316L Meshed wire. Then I set the device to SS316L, 420°f & 60W and I received a good balance of flavour and vapour warmth.
I did try up to 90W in power mode with this RTA, but not being a high wattage vaper, the heat was too much so I reduced it back to 75W!
Centaurus Q200 Performance
The dual 18650 batteries lasted me just about 4 hours of vape time at 50W.
The 0.3Ω UB Max coil stands up well and lasted me nearly 6 days with mixed wattages and vape styles.
While it’s a nice idea to have replaceable side panels for different looks, presently I haven’t found anywhere that sells them lol.

Final Review Verdict
It was hard to find anything wrong with this kit, I ended up nitpicking that they include a Ni80 coil, the battery door is hard to close with batteries in the device and the non-availability of the replaceable panels!
Would I recommend the Lost Vape Centaurus Quest Q200 kit?
I’d recommend this kit to those with intermediate experience. I’ve spent a good couple of weeks with this kit and thoroughly enjoyed using it.
Would I buy this kit again due to loss or damage?
“Yes” I’d buy it; it’s relatively cheap although I recommend shopping around for the best deal.
