I have created this blog yesterday morning, and less than an hour after my first post was written, the first visitors started to find their way to this blog.
In a few hours time, my blog already had had more visitors than some blogs have in a week. So how did I do that?

The most important thing to do after creating a blog, is to make sure that people will find your blog. Therefor, you should register your blog in blog directories and search engines. As many as possible.
Blog directories are websites that keep an inventory of all the weblogs on the internet. You let them know that you have made a blog, and they will create a link in their inventory to your blog.
So, If you register your blog in many blog directories, there will be many links on the internet that lead to your blog. That means that more people will be able to find your blog.
Furthermore, Google, the most popular search engine on the internet, ranks websites according to the number of links that lead to those websites. So, more links could mean a better position in Google.
If you have friends or relatives that have a blog or website, you could ask them to put a link on their site to your blog as well.

Here is a list of directories and search engines where you should register your blog. Take your time for it. Look for the words register blog, add URL, Suggest URL or submit site and read the instructions. Afterwards, check your mailbox, because some of the directories will send you a verification mail.

Some of the directories let you write a description of your blog. Describe your blog as accurate as possible, and try to make your blog sound interesting to potential readers.
