Saint Seiya: Galaxy Spirits Guide: Tips & Tricks for Dummies

Welcome to the dummies guide on how to get stronger in Saint Seiya: Galaxy Spirits. Here are some tips and tricks on how to progress further into the game, increasing your team’s overall CP and leveling your Heroes fast in the game.

Do the Story Mode first

Once you finish with the tutorial, do the Story Mode stages as far as you can (Main Menu->Campaign). This is where you will obtain account EXP, Hero EXP, Gold, and gear. As you level up, you will be able to unlock more features in the game.

When you select a stage, you will be able to see your team’s overall CP. You will also be able to choose your heroes for battle (maximum of 5 heroes).  Make sure to also complete each stage with 3 stars (By not letting any of your heroes die). This will unlock the “Sweep” function for that stage which allows you to instantly clear that stage without going through the whole battle. The more stars you have achieved during the Story Mode, the more rewards you will get (Go to the stage select screen->Tap the chest at the bottom left).

Set up your team

Each hero will have its own type of role:

  • Front – They are basically your frontline heroes which can be used as tanks or as DPS melee heroes.
  • Mid – Similar to “Front” heroes but they are placed at the midline as they are not as tanky as “Front” heroes. They usually deal more damage to enemies than “Front” heroes, however.
  • Rear – Your backline heroes. Usually, they will deal ranged DPS or support your heroes with buffs or healing.

So which is the recommended setup for a team? For me, I would put at least 1 front hero, 2/3 mid heroes and the rest are rear heroes. If you want your heroes to survive longer, replace either your mid heroes with an additional front hero.

Set your battles to Auto Mode

After you have cleared a few stages you will be able to set the battle to ‘Auto Mode’. I highly recommend doing so as there is not much strategy unless you want to set your heroes’ skills manually. Setting the battle to ‘Auto Mode’ will automatically activate your heroes’ skills once they are available. However, you will still have to activate their awakening skills manually.

Obtaining new heroes

There are multiple ways to obtain new heroes but the best way is from the Diamond Summon (Main Menu->Summon->Diamond). This is where you can spend your Diamonds for a chance to obtain a 4-star hero. I highly recommend saving your Diamonds until you have about 2488 to use the “Buy Ten Times” summon (discount). Every 10 summons, you will guarantee a 3-star hero. Every day at 5 am, you will be able to summon once for free so be sure to do so.

Upgrade your heroes (Part 1)

There are a ton of ways to upgrade your heroes to increase their power:

  • Leveling up heroes
  • Star-up heroes
  • Advancing heroes
  • Upgrading hero skills
  • Cosmo
  • Cloth
  • Hero Affinity

Other than playing the Story Mode, you can use EXP potions to increase a hero’s level (Tap the green arrow icon beside the EXP bar (Bottom left)). There are 6 different types of potions with each one gives a certain amount of hero EXP. One thing to note is that you can only level up heroes up to your current account level. EXP potions can mainly be obtained from Story Mode and Summon.

Once a hero has the required number of soul stones, you can upgrade them to increase all its stats greatly plus increases its star rarity by 1 (Tap the green arrow icon below the number of stars (Bottom)). Soul Stones can mainly be obtained from doing the Elite stages at the Story Mode and Diamond Summon.

Each hero will have 6 gear slots to equip your gear. Some of the gear you can either equip or have to craft first before you can equip (Tap the ‘+’ icon to synthesize). To know how to obtain a certain gear, tap the ? “No More” icon then tap the gear icon with the puzzle piece. This will show you which stages that gear will drop. Equipping a gear will increase certain stats to your hero. Once you equipped all 6 slots, you can tap on the ‘Advance’ button to increase all your hero stats and gear rank. This is where you will have to start over and equip the new 6 slots before you can advance that hero again.

Upgrade your heroes (Part 2)

All heroes will have 7 different skills (Starts off with 1). To unlock the other 3 skills, your character must reach the required gear rank (Green, Blue, and Violet) and star rank. You can use skill points and Gold to upgrade a hero’s skill (Tap on the green arrow to upgrade). 1 skill point will recharge every 2 mins. Avoid using your Diamonds to upgrade your hero skills.

As for Cosmo, you will need Star Souls in order to light up a hero Cosmo (Obtained from Story Mode). Lighting up a Cosmo increases the hero’s stats + CP and once you light up all the Cosmos, the Nebula will open. This means that you will be able to light up more Cosmos to open up another Nebula.

Opening a certain number of Nebulas will unlock a special passive skill for that hero where you can either level up its skill using Warrior’s Heart or upgrade to massively boost its effects using Shiny Crystals and Ruin Stones. Shiny Crystals can be obtained in Events while Ruin Stones can be obtained from Special Summon.

To activate a hero’s cloth, there are 6 different parts of cloths that you have to acquire (Similar to equipping gear). You will also need to complete a test for that hero in order to unlock its cloth. Once done, you can either level up each part of cloth using Blood of Silver then advance them to increase its max level or upgrade to massively boost its effects using Ruin Stones. Cloths can be obtained from doing the elite Story Mode stages or from the Cloth Trial.

As for increasing your hero’s affinity, it works the same as leveling up your hero. You will need purple crystals instead of EXP potions. These can only be obtained from the Summon.

Check your Bag

Be sure to check your Bag to see all the items you have obtained (Main Menu->Bag). Make sure to open all the chests which contain items like Psychokinetic Balls, gear, Crystals, and many more. You can also use EP potions from the “Consumables” tab to restore EP (Energy).

Join a Legion

The Guild feature will be unlocked at account level 26. If you have not done so, I would suggest joining a Legion as soon as you can (Main Menu->Legion). You will be able to unlock various Legion features such as:

  • Legion Tech – This is where you can donate either using Gold or Diamonds to level up different technologies and obtain Legion Tokens.
  • Legion Events – This is where you can either join 2 of the Events like the Shaka’s Epiphany or the Legion Boss for various rewards.
  • Legion Store – This is where you can use your Legion Tokens to purchase various items.

Do the Trials

Make sure to check out and do the Trials for more rewards. Here are the different Trials I recommend doing daily.

  • Protect Athena – This is where you fight against waves of enemies to obtain Guardian Tokens and other rewards.
  • Cloth Trial – The best place to obtain Cloths.
  • Maze – Each battle will require certain heroes to be deployed. So the more heroes you have, the easier the Maze will be.
  • Sal Forest – This is where you can use your heroes to farm Star Souls. The more heroes you use, the more Star Souls you will obtain. You can also battle against other players to steal Star Souls from them.
  • Boss Challange

Complete the Tasks and Events

Make sure to complete all the Growth Tasks, Daily Tasks, and Events as you will obtain tons of rewards and also gain lots of account EXP which you will be able to level up much faster.

Do the Daily Tasks first as these will reset daily. Then do the Events (Events and Seven Day Party) as these will reward you with special items that are not found in the Story Mode. As of Growth Tasks, you can do at your own pace as they are not time-limited. On a side note, you can collect free EP (Energy) during a certain period of time daily (Events->Goddess’ Blessings) so be sure to check the timeslots to avoid missing out.

Becoming P2W

If you are going to spend a lot of time in this game and wants to increase your overall CP much faster than the rest, it is best to recharge Diamonds using real money (sucks to be F2P). The game does reward you a lot if you recharge Diamonds for the first time and the more money you spend on Diamonds, the greater the VIP rewards/unlocks that you will get.

Thank you so much for reading this guide. If you are new to this game, you can download this game on either IOS or Android. You can also check other game guides like Dengeki Bunko: Crossing Void and Eternal City.
