Welcome to the dummies guide on how to get better in Idle Coffee Corp. Here are some tips and tricks on how to progress further into the game and obtaining more Gold and cash in the game.
Introduction
This game allows you to own and manage a coffee shop. Your goal is to earn as many cash as possible to expand your shop and to all other locations. Since this is an idle game, the gameplay is pretty much simple and you will receive offline rewards depending on how much you progress. The game is made by BoomBit which are well known for producing idle games.
Unlock and Upgrade your stations!
You can upgrade your stations to increase the price for a cup, allowing each station to store more cash (Tap the orange button with the “level” then tap upgrade). When you have enough cash, you can also unlock new stations, allowing you to have more customers to queue at your coffee shop. Each station has a brown bar which it fills up every time you upgrade. Once it is full, the price of the cup will increase by x2. This effect can be stacked a number of times so just keep upgrading it until it fills up again.
Unlock and Upgrade new coffee!
At the start, you will only have 1 type of coffee to serve. But you can unlock other types of coffee when you have enough cash so be sure to unlock all of them ASAP. You can select which type of coffee to serve for each station by tapping on the coffee icon at the station.
Each type of coffee can be upgraded to increase the price of that cup but it requires a duration in order for it to be finished upgrading. To speed up the process, you can watch a video ad which decreases the time taken to finish upgrading by 30mins. You can do this for an unlimited amount of times so I would recommend doing so if you do not want to wait too long to finish upgrading.
Upgrade your Manager!
The manager will collect the cash from all stations. That is where you will obtain cash. You can upgrade the manager to increase the capacity of cash collected, decrease the walk time and loading time. I recommend prioritizing upgrading the manager first then the stations as he will be able to collect more cash in a short time.
Watch video ads to boost your progress!
If you have the time, you can watch a video ad to either obtain Gold for free or increase the amount of cash that you can obtain. There are 3 different locations that you can watch.
- Tap the ‘Turbo Mobe!’ button then “Turbo Manager!” at the signboard called “Caffeinate Manager!”. This increases the speed of your manager by 300%, allowing him to collect cash at a faster rate.
- Tap the “x2 Profits” button at the signboard called “Advertising Campaign!”. You will get a 2x revenue boost for the next 4 hours.
- Go to the Gold Shop and watch a short video to instantly collect 5 Gold (Tap the “Shopping Cart” icon then scroll to the Gold Shop).
- Everytime you log in back to the game, tap “Watch ad and double” to increase offline cash rewards by x2.
Keep an eye out on the Happiness meter!
If you look at the top right corner of the screen, you will see the happiness meter. Basically, if the needle is pointing towards the red area, it means that you are not selecting the right kind of coffee to your customers. Your goal is to make the needle point towards the green area. I recommend that you change the coffee for each station to make the needle point towards the green area. By doing so, you will gain an additional 20% more income.
Open boxes to unlock new cards!
Cards are basically additional buffs which consist of additional earnings for each type of coffee, increases the speed and capacity of the manager, discounts for a certain upgrade, etc. To obtain these cards, you will have to open boxes. There are 3 types of boxes, Daily, Gold, and Cash. Each box will unlock 3 cards. The daily box can be opened for every few hours. The gold box requires 25 Gold which I would recommend you should spend your Gold on these. As for the cash box, you can purchase them if you have enough cash but it will increase its price permanently for every purchase.
Each card can also be leveled up if you have collected enough duplicates of the same card, increasing their effects even more.
Complete achievements!
Make sure to also complete as many achievements as you can (Tap the orange badge icon). This is where you can obtain Gold for every achievement completed. Since these achievements do not have any time limit, you can take your time to do each of them.
When should I Prestige?
After a while, you will realize that your progress will slow down by a lot as you will be unable to collect enough cash to upgrade/unlock. That is when you can reset your progress and start over instead. To do so, tap on the bean icon and tap “Prestige” to reset your progress. This is the only way to obtain Golden Beans in the game. Your earning bonus will increase tremendously as well.
Golden Beans can be used to unlock Epic Baristas which are a better version than the original Baristas. An Epic Barista usually gives more revenue if it serves their favorite coffee. I suggest resetting your progress once every 24 hours to increase the number of Golden Beans obtained.
Unlocking new locations
Once you have unlocked a number of stations, you will be able to unlock a new coffee shop location (Tap the map icon at the top left). There is a catch though, all your cash earnings, Prestige rewards, stations, manager and types of coffee that you unlock will be reset. So you will have to start all over again in that new coffee shop location. I would suggest completing all the achievements on your previous location first before going over to your new location.
