Five ways to deal with violent dogs in the neighborhood

Here are five methods to Deal with an aggressive dog in your neighborhood. The link below is an Amazon affiliate link.

                                       Talk to the dog’s owner
If you can find the dog’s owner, explain that his dog is a menace. Ask him to not let the dog run around loose.

                                             Befriend the dog
Buy the dog snack. The next time you run into the dog, throw the snack toward it softly so it won’t think you’re throwing a rock at it. Don’t throw it directly in the dog’s face. Throw it sideways, a few feet to the dog’s right or left.

This is a way I’ve used successfully while dealing with a Violent dog as a child. After a few snacks, that dog had become my best friend.

                                         Contact the authorities
Video the dog’s aggressive behavior on your cell phone and call animal control. If this doesn’t work, file a lawsuit.

                                          Carry pepper spray
If the ways mentioned above don’t work, carrying powerful pepper spray that clips to your belt or fits in your pocket is a practical way to deal with a violent dog. If the dog attacks you, spray it in the eyes.

                                          Get a closed scooter
If you have to go to a neighborhood where stray dogs run around loose, getting a closed scooter is a very effective way to deal with Violent Dogs.
