“Old Favorites,” an exhibition of works by textile artist Cynthia Thiel, opens Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the SPARC Gallery at South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, with a reception from 3 to 6 p.m., in conjunction with the South Pasadena Summer Arts Crawl. The exhibition runs through Sept. 2, 2023.
In this exhibition, resonant with reflection, mixed media and textile artist Cynthia Thiel revisits “Old Favorites, “fabricating new work from lifelong passions,” she writes, with a common thread: the female form. Thiel’s delicate, graceful, often playful creative expressions encompass stitchery, ceramics, collage, drawing, and painting.
Admission to “Old Favorites” is free. The SPARC Gallery at South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, operated by the South Pasadena Arts Council, is located at 1121 Mission St., South Pasadena.
