Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Dana Cooper to play in South Pasadena

Dana Cooper is a poet, storyteller & songwriter who hails from Nashville.  Dana’s mixture of flat-picking, finger picking, and percussive strumming is legend among other guitarists.  His harmonica playing equally impressive. As one critic noted, “he sings like an angel and plays like the devil.” His Latest CD “I Can Face The Truth” charted on 5 Radio Charts including Americana, Indie Folk, Alt Folk, Alt Country & Roots.

“My latest CD, I Can Face the Truth, was released in February 2022,” Cooper tells us. “It was recorded in Nashville and took about a year to complete. The new single, “Traveler Too”, was recently recorded and is being released in a unique way as a double single with both a band and a solo version.”

The song is a special one for Cooper. “Traveler Too blew into my ear on an incredibly windy day along the coast of the Irish Sea,” he says. “It was so windy I could barely stand up and seagulls were flopping around in the sky. In that forlorn, rocky place stand two haunting monuments to all the souls who never returned from the sea. I thought of all of us human beings traveling through space and time together just trying to find a way to get along.”
