For South Pasadenans looking to add more hole foods to their diet, Krispy Kreme opened their new location on Tuesday June 14. After much anticipation, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be sprinkling the community with an array of flavorful doughnuts.
About six hundred customers before noon had already visited the latest location to join the Krispy Kreme family.
The company promoted the grand-opening of their new restaurant by creating a Facebook event, inviting the public to try their fresh doughnuts.
“You’ve been waiting and we’re finally here Pasadena,” the event description says. “Fresh doughnuts are coming your way! Starting on Tuesday, June 14th, Krispy Kreme is bringing our iconic melt-in-your-mouth Original Glazed doughnuts to town!”
Krispy Kreme will be offering one dozen glazed doughnuts every month for a year to 100 random customers who visit the establishment June 14 to June 19. The first golden ticket was given to the first customer in line and the rest will be handed out until the end of the promotion.
The South Pasadena location is open for walk-ins and online orders only as there is no drive-thru option. Currently, there is a reward promotion available by downloading the Krispy Kreme app.
First opened in 1937, Krispy Kreme is renowned for their doughnuts and coffee, offering an array of flavors and styles including original glazed and strawberry iced with sprinkles. The company has 369 locations in 284 cities and 42 states and territories, according to ScrapeHero.
Krispy Kreme took over the old location of Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta, which moved to 1007 Fair Oaks Ave on August 20, 2019. Residents have been eagerly awaiting Krispy Kreme’s opening since 2020, when a ‘coming soon’ banner was placed over the old Mamma’s building.
