Well, if you haven’t heard his name, you’ve surely heard about Alibaba or read the news concerning China’s massive online commerce company. He’s one of the richest people in the world, but his beginnings were everything but not simple. The number of times when he applied to a job and didn’t manage to get it will shock you.
Jack hasn’t managed to get a job even after applying to them 30 times. He spoke in one of his interviews about the time when KFC came to China. He said that 24 people went for the job interview. Twenty-three people were accepted, and Jack Ma was the only person who wasn’t. He was also one of the 5 applicants to a job in the police force and was the only one getting rejected.
Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey- one of the most successful, riches and well-known persons over the entire world. Her multi-award-winning talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show was the highest-rated show of its kind in history. She is a woman liked and respected by everyone, adored by all types of TV viewers. Bur her journey to success was not easy at all. As a matter of fact, she had a very tough childhood.
She lived in poverty and had no idea what the shoes were, she got her first dress to go to school. She was raped by her nineteen-year-old cousin at the age of nine. Also, the mother’s many friends and relatives regularly molested Oprah. Oprah got pregnant at the age of 14, but her newborn was born early and died soon after his birth.
Despite such a sad childhood, this enthusiastic young girl still was fantasizing about amazing countries, jobs, and places she would read about in her favorite books.
J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter, the boy who lived and J.K. Rowling the famous author whose book series are well-known over the globe, isn’t less than any fairy tale. Shortly after she got the idea for Harry Potter, Rowling started writing but was instantly pulled away from her commitment by the crushing death of her mother.
She stopped working on the book and fell into a deep depression. After a while, she started teaching English languages in Portugal, in hope that the job gets her away from troubles and grievance.
She had a goal to finish her first Harry Potter book by the time she returned from Portugal. But, things did not go as she planned. Not only she didn’t manage to finish her book and also her love life was falling apart. She ended up with a divorce and a baby girl that now he has to raise by herself. With no job, no money, and two mouths to feed she hit the rock bottom. Her only way out of life troubles was her writing.
When she eventually finished the first three chapters, she sent them to a publisher, but very quickly her email was filled up with rejections. After sending her book to 12 various publishers and getting rejected by each one of them, Rowling started losing faith in her book.

The editor at Bloomsbury Publishing company sat down to read the manuscript, but also the editor’s 8-year-old child. The little girl enjoyed the opening chapters and begged to read the entire book. This made the publisher accept to publish Rowling’s book, but with a suggestion that she should get a day job because she wouldn’t make any money writing children’s books. But she showed they were very wrong.
From being a jobless single mother living off unemployment benefits to one of the best selling authors of all time – J.K. Rowling is a perfect example of how we can rise from failure.
