Top 5 Lip Tints Swatches And Review

Being a mom doesn’t mean pale and plain. Lip tints come in handy on the daily or at work. Regular lipsticks usually isn’t transfer proof, and that’s a bummer for us moms — it can stain the laundry during our pick-smell-drop routine, it can stick to our toddlers if we kiss them, and the thing I don’t like the most: reapplying!

Thankfully lip tints and stains are here to save the day. They can last all day, most of them are transfer proof, cheap and has a wide range of colors. They can be drying though, but there’s lip moisturizer, lip gloss and lip balms for that. Here are my top 5 favorite lip stains that I use everyday:

How it looks like when wiped with a tissue after 10 minutes:

TOP 5: KJM Lip and Cheeck Stain in Summer Kiss

Packaging:          ★★☆☆☆

Color Range:      ★★★★☆

Longevity:          ★★☆☆☆

Stain:                   ★★☆☆☆

Price:                   ★★★★★

KJM Lip tints has a variety of colors for daily use. This is my top 5 soley because it’s the cheapest one that I could find that does work. They will only cost you around 110 pesos and that is not bad at all. It’s not great for a lip stain but it does wonders for the cheeks. With proper use, it can give you a natural flushed look which will make you look youthful and vibrant all day. Although, I do not like its packaging, the roller applicator can sometimes screw off, and the roller itself doesn’t help for proper application on the lips (hence why I prefer using it on the cheeks only).

Top 4: A’PIEU Water Light Tint -RD04

Packaging:          ★★★☆☆

Color Range:      ★★★★★

Longevity:          ★★☆☆☆

Stain:                   ★★☆☆☆

Price:                   ★★★☆☆

My top 4 is A’PIEU Water Light Tint in RD04. It smells sooo good, it reminds me of a grape juice. I go for this look for formal occasions. The dark apple color of this one makes my lips stand out and you can go with simple to no eye makeup with it, which I like because it saves me time. It has a nice sheen on it for added sophistication if you’re in to that look. For me personally, I would prefer a matte color but I’m drawn to its nice pigmentation so I like it. One swipe will do. You can snatch one for around 300 pesos, I think the price point is fair for what you’re getting in return. I give the color range 5 stars because A’PIEU has tons of released lip tints to date, it ranges from simple MLBB to dark vampy shades.

Top 3: ETUDE HOUSE Dear Darling Tint in Sweet Potato

Packaging:          ★★★★★

Color Range:      ★★★★☆

Longevity:          ★☆☆☆☆

Stain:                   ★★☆☆☆

Price:                   ★★★★★

For my top 3, close to my favorite is ETUDE HOUSE Dear Darling Tint in Sweet Potato. This one is just gorgeous. I LOVE the color selections, like A’PIEU, they have a lot of colors to choose from. I like the gradation of this tint, it goes on smoothly and not patchy at all. It has a sheen on it but not blinding. The packaging has a nice grip on it, and the doe foot applicator helps you apply the product evenly. For a price point of 198 pesos and the result you will get, this is easily one of the best ones out there. The only thing I do not like about this tint is the longevity, it disappears after a meal. If you don’t mind reapplying, this one is highly recommended.

Top 2: Peripera Ink Velvet in Pretty Coral

Packaging:          ★★★☆☆

Color Range:      ★★★★★

Longevity:          ★★★★★

Stain:                  ★★★★★

Price:                   ★★★★★

My top 1 and top 2 are both from Peripera. This is my top 2 for its stain. It stains like no other. If you are in to pink, coral/peachy shade, get this one. But personally, I only go for this one for the stain, I apply the product, wait for 5 minutes and then wipe it off. It will last you all day and it can last through meals. I do not use this particular shade as a gradient because it goes patchy if I don’t prep my lips beforehand. I also do not recommend it if you have a dark complexion, the shade goes well for fair skin. The product is smooth and velvety so it will not dry your lips. You can buy this for 360 pesos. It’s worth the price!

Top 1: Peripera Ink Velvet in Glimpse Brick Brown

Packaging:          ★★★☆☆

Color Range:      ★★★★★

Longevity:          ★★★★★

Stain:                  ★★★★★

Price:                   ★★★★★

Finally, my top 1, Peripera Ink Velvet in Glimpse Brick Brown. I’ve already pointed out why I like Peripera’s Ink Velvet line from  my top 2 so I will not list them down in here, but my reason why this is my top 1 is because this is my holy grail MLBB (My Lips But Better)and the gradation is perfect and not patchy. As you can see by the swatch, it certainly looks like my natural lips but more even and healthier. I can’t say anything bad about this. Some could probably go for a better packaging, the reason why is because the applicator picks up lots of excess products and you have to repeatedly remove them as you apply, that can be annoying to some. But honestly it doesn’t bother me at all. This shade suits any skin color and can be worn in any occations.
