New 2017 Audi RS6 Avant Review

Audi RS6 Introduction

The new 2017 Audi RS6 comes with all-wheel drive, a more clever option of a V8 instead of a V10 engine. The Audi has better balance and more thought out use of resources. To get your hands on one of these will cost around £80,175 – £87,090 depending on the specification you want and any optional extras. There are two different options available for the RS6, and each depends on what you are looking for. Firstly, is the Performance pack this is the fastest, but also the most expensive. Secondly, is the standard edition, this is also the cheapest and most environment-friendly.

RS6 Engine and Performance

The Audi RS6 is packed with performance, don’t forget this is a Luxury Estate Car. The RS6 can outrun a Porsche 911 GT2 up to 60mph. The 0-62 in the standard RS6 edition is 3.9 seconds which is unbelievable for a 2.1-tonne vehicle. The performance pack edition 0-62 is 3.7 which is a little quicker. The horsepower inside the standard version is 552bhp which is well enough power for this beast. The performance pack edition, however, adds an extra 45hp which would bring it up to 597bhp, and this cuts the 0-62 by 0.2 seconds. The new RS6 now handles a lot better, and the new V8 engine is shorter compared to the previous V10. The top speed of this performance packed luxury estate is 155mph, which isn’t bad considering how heavy it is.

The speed in the car never feels uncontrollable, but on a less grip surface, the vehicle can be smashing power on both axles and well beyond 60mph with ESP off. The RS6 engine is full on fiercely urgent until it reaches up to three-figure speeds. The engine, however, is flexible even under merciless power and full load. The accelerator pedal is calibrated with professional judgement. When starting the car is gentle allowing you to pull away smoothly, but as you dig your foot deeper you can feel the brutality of the engine. Only when the exhaust clears out, you will be able to hear and feel the savageness.

Audi RS6  Design and Interior

The RS6 is built from granite but is design to look like plastic. This interior that Audi has produced should be used by other manufacturers of what a professional, practical interior looks like and should be adored. The interior of this is hugely useful, and this is because the car is massive. The RS6 is a range-topping model which comes with all the latest technology including everything you could imagine, so sat nav, LED headlights different drive modes loads of features. There is a screen, and the speed limits are traditional, but there is a display with them showing you the car statistics.

There are many features to play with on each side, and the buttons are everywhere. The RS6 is well-designed interior all leather seats extremely relaxing and comfy. The steering wheel wrapped with cushioned with leather along with the gear stick. The boot of the RS6 is vast, so there is no need to worry about not fitting certain things inside. The wheels on the RS6 look fantastic along with the shape of the bodywork and diffuser.

Verdict

Overall, the Audi RS6 is a spectacular car. Probably the best luxury estate car out there, and it is very fast as well. Audi has made it very expensive. So not everyone is going to be able to try it out, but for the amount of technology and power within the vehicle then it is worth the price. This luxury estate car and is probably the only car you will ever need. The RS6 comes with anything you could need in your vehicle. There is even a performance pack option for the enthusiast who wants more power.
