Inhale NIP, Exhale regrets

If we know no good comes from burdening ourselves with our regrets why do we do it? Overtime they'll become a weight on your shoulders. The decisions you make after acknowledging your regrets is the only thing you should hold yourself accountable to. Life goes on. Our regrets can't pile up if we make decisions we'll be proud of months and years from now. You've made it this far in life and it's only getting bigger and better. Here is what I want you to do.. make your list of regrets. It can be simple like breaking your gym commitment or cheating on your diet. List of Regret police don't exist so keep that in mind if you feel your list is mediocre. My chat is open if you want to share and most importantly be honest with yourself. If you're going to share your list with a group of friends and you feel embarrassed remember NIP.
Ignoring my mind is one of my regrets. Making decisions thinking with my heart instead of my head left me stuck between a rock and a hard place. My mind threw in the towel when it came to infidelity, lies and shit that didn't make sense. My heart on the other hand is constantly forgetful and forgiving. It's tough to admit someone is holding you back instead of holding you down.
"I'm about to roll me up a blunt with my list of regrets. Burn it all burn it all I'm starting it fresh cause half the time I got it right I probably guessed." Drake inspired me to create my own list of regrets. Sitting in my brothers car on I4 I opened the notes on my iPhone. First things first swing my fist into the girls mouth that slapped me. Never get fired over a hat at my first job. Stand up for myself moments people made fun of my name. Be more cautious turning corners instead of scraping off the side skirt off my first car. Hitting the brakes instead of the gas in my driveway the same day I got my permit. 21 years young and I don't regret most of the decisions I've made thus far. Is that weird? I gave myself 24 hours to reflect back on life.. the list isn't long but it's worthy of burning and starting fresh.
When you think of regrets what is the first thing that pops into your head? It may be settling for less, being a side piece, keeping friendships that weren't genuine, not making school a priority, betraying someones trust you cared about, the last thing you purchased, your ex.. there's so many ways it could go. A mistake makes us take a step back, move cautiously. We are the toughest critics on ourselves. We forget every one has made mistakes in their life! Your parents, idols, mentors.. they've gone through life learning just like us! Without mistakes what would we be?
