As a player who has a lot of experience in counter-strike , i would like to share what i've learned with other players , so let's start off with low ranked players (Silver1-Nova4) :
- Learn the basics : before you start improving you got to learn the basics of cs , for example : don't shoot while running , learn Rifles Spray pattern , learn guns prices and what guns to buy .
- shooting while running : simply because it makes you inaccurate .
- rifles spray pattern : friberg made a great video about it , im gonna leave it below .
- what to buy : In the first round , you need to buy a body armor (650$) and keep your glock/usp instead of buying a tec9 or 5-7 without Kevlar because you will get aimpunched to death , you can buy a kevlar then ask your friends to drop one for you that would be much smarter , if you lose the first round without planting , i suggest you to forcebuy a tec9+kevlar , however if you were able to secure the plant you may go full-eco then full-buy next round . for the buy-rounds , if you have enough money for the nades and kevlar then you should get a rifle , for example : you have 4500$ , you can get an ak47(2700$) + kevlar (1000$) + 2 flashes (200$x2) + smoke (300$) , in ct its harder to manage your money , due to the expensivity of m4 , i would rather go for a famas when i am low on money .
- Learn to communicate : communication is they key to win , if you manage to give Infos properly and quickly , you can secure the win especially on lower level where your ennemies are probably fighting since the pistol round .In order to communicate properly all you had to do is simple :
- Speak in english : if you are playing solo / duo games , speaking in english is necessary , if you can't speak english then you should learn cs calls atleast.
- Give infos when you die : when you die give infos rather than raging at your teammates and blaming them , and also be more specific with your calls , for an example : someone rushed me long with a 5-7 and i had an ak , the proper way to call this is '' 1 rushing long probably top mid with my ak full hp''
- Be friendly : raging is loosing , always compliment your teammates and support them when they fail its very important to keep a positive mindset during the whole game.
additional tips :
- Don't seek for improvements in a short amount of time .
- Don't look too much at your matchmaking rank.
- Try your best , accept the lose we all have those bad days.
