I was checking custom roms available for moto e. I have used Lineage 14, Resurrection Remix , Cyanogen , etc.. but.. i personally liked Jolla Sailfish os. Its just amazing. It is fully controlled by gestures. But the huge Demerit is that it doesn't support android apk files. The official jolla phones support android apps but not others.. :(
erm.. lets start without wasting time.. :p
Things you need :
Lets begin :
1 - Install Cyanogen 12.1 on your Moto E otus ( you must install cm12.1 , If not device won't boot)
2 - Just flash sailfish os with twrp
3 - That's all... Now wipe dalwik cache and reboot device.. Sailfish has no boot animation so don't worry if nothings on screen.. Its starts with language selection

- Moto E otus with TWRP installed ( if twrp is not installed refer here)
- Download Cyanogen 12.1 zip file
- Download Sailfish os 2.0
- make a back up of your current Rom with twrp. in case you mess up :p
