How to fix ads.txt file issues in Google Adsense?

Now a day, all leading advertising networks requesting to add Ads.txt file. A missing Ads.txt file in Google Adsense account will give you the below error.

In order to resolve it, you need to upload Ads.txt file to the root level of your website domain. Click on a fix now option and download the ads.txt file. Now we need to add this file in the website root domain.

First, log in to your WordPress dashboard, install and activate Ads.txt Manager Plugin. Check my step by step guide on how to install a plugin in WordPress, for more details.

Ads.txt Manager Plugin is a free tool designed to create, update and manage Ads.txt files. Upon plugin activation, Go to Settings >> Ads.txt. Here you can see a text area where you can add text and declare your authorized seller or reseller.

Now open the downloaded file from Google Adsense and copy the total text and paste the same in plugin text area. Then click on save changes.

Or else you can directly use below format to declare Adsense as your authorized seller.

google.com, pub-0000000000000000, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0 

Replace pub-0000000000000000 with your own Adsense publisher id.

As you can see, the line has 4 fields separated by commas. Where the first field is the company domain name who are allowed to sell ads on your website, the second field is publisher id, the third field declares relationship type whether direct seller or reseller and the last one is optional, it represents the advertising platform ID. For all Google seller accounts, TAG ID is the same.

After adding ads.txt in your root domain, it may take a few days to reflect changes in your Adsense account.

Note: Ads.txt Manager Plugin supports only on root level domain like Royalecash.com. It will not work for sub-domains, subdirectories or multi-network sites.
