Ever wondered, how to create Amazon Affiliate Links and make money with Amazon affiliate program. In this tutorial, I’ll explain how to create Amazon affiliate links.

By now, I assume you have already created Amazon Associates account. If not, you can sign up for Amazon Associate program from here. Amazon offers a great way to its users to make money with their affiliate program by selling Amazon products and get the commission on every sale. Once your application is approved, you need to add the product unique tracking link on your website. You’ll receive a commission when the person clicks on your referral links and buys the product. Here you can check some of the great ways to promote the products on your blog to make money with it.

Types of Amazon Affiliate Links:

You can start making money with Amazon Associates by placing their any link type on your website. Amazon offers various links formats and Publishers can pick any ad link type based on their needs.

Text links: A hyperlink contains with only text that redirects to the specific product page when clicking on it.

Image links: A hyperlink contains with the only image of the product that redirects to the product page when clicking on it.

Text and image links: A hyperlink contains with text and image of the product.

Banner links:  A link to Amazon categories and products contains graphical interface.

Widgets: A slideshow of Amazon products. Widgets are easily configurable and allow a user to see Amazon products by slideshow without leaving your website.

Amazon associate programs offer a variety of tools to create affiliate links which helps to build the links easily.

Amazon Affiliate tools:

Site stripe: Publisher can link to any page using the associate’s Site Stripe. The associate’s Site stripe lets you create the associate link right from the Amazon product page. The associate’s Site stripe will appear at the top of every page once you logged into your Amazon associates account. This will also let you share your link on social media.

Product links: Publisher can search and link to any page by using the Product links. You can search for all products or can search for a specific product and customize the link as per your needs. You can choose whether you want text only link or image only link or can create widget here.

Banner links: Banner links are available in 4 different sizes. These banner links are served by Amazon only and we don’t have any option to create or change a banner link for the specific product. We need to select the banner link from available sizes. Each ad shows different products for every visit. Amazon will automatically figure out the best ad to show and display them once we have added the code on our website.

Link to any page: This tool lets you create a link to popular pages at Amazon and also lets you link to the search results. Every time you need to name your link and enter your keyword. You can also build the links to any page by adding the specific product URL and create the link.

These are the available Amazon Affiliate tools. Now we need to create the links using these Amazon Affiliate tools. Follow below step by step guide to create the product links.

How to create Amazon Affiliate Links:

Create Amazon Affiliate links using Site stripe:

The associate’s Site stripe lets you create the associate link right from the Amazon product page.

Step 1: Login to your Amazon Associates account.

Step 2: Open a new tab and directly go to Amazon.in home page and search for the product.

The associate’s Site stripe will appear at the top of every page.

Step 3: You can choose whether you want text only link or image only link or text + image link.

If you want Text only link, copy the code under Text option. Here you can select whether you want a short link or full link.

If you want image only link, copy the code under image option. Here you can select the image size.

If you want Text and Image link, copy the code under Text + Image option.

Here you can also share the product on social media. To share the link, click on Facebook and Twitter buttons.

Create Amazon Affiliate links using Product links:

Step 1: Login to your Amazon Associates account.

Step 2: Hover your mouse to products linking and click on products links.

Step 3: Now you can search for the product using keyword or ASIN for better results.

I prefer using ASIN to search. ASIN stands for “Amazon.com standard Item Number”. Every item in Amazon catalog has 10 digits unique ASIN and the same can be found under product details. Let’s check how to find product ASIN.

Now open a new tab and directly go to Amazon.in home page and search for the product.  Once you found the product click on more product details. Under product details, you’ll found the product ASIN.

Step 4: Now go to products links and add the ASIN code and click on go to search the product.

Step 5: Search results will be displayed and click on Get link option.

Step 6: Now you can customize the link as per your needs. You can choose whether you want text only link or image only link or can create widget here.

If you want Text and Image link, copy the code under Text and Image option. If you want Text only link, copy the code under Text only option.  Like this, copy the code under Image only option If you want Image link or if you want to create a widget customize the options and click on save and get code option to get the widget code. After customizing the link, copy the Html code and place the same code on your website.

Get Amazon Affiliate links using Banner links:

Banner links are available in 4 different sizes. These banner links are served by Amazon only and we don’t have any option to create or change a banner link for the specific product. We need to select the banner link from available sizes. Each ad shows different products for every visit. Amazon will automatically figure out the best ad to show and display them once we have added the code on our website.

Step 1: Login to your Amazon Associates account.

Step 2: Hover your mouse to products linking and click on Banners.

Step 3: Now select any banner from available banner sizes. Under banner ad preview you’ll get the Html code. Copy the Html code and place the same code on your website.

Create Amazon Affiliate links using Link to any Page:

Step 1: Hover your mouse to products linking and click on products links Amazon Associates account home page.

Step 2: This tool lets you create a link to popular pages at Amazon and also lets you link to the search results. Now you have 3 options link to favourite pages, link to search results and link to any page. You can choose from available options and customize the link as per your needs. Now we will check how to create affiliate link using 3 options.

Create a link to favourite destinations:

Using this option, you can create a link for popular pages at Amazon. Now select a product line from available categories.

Now select a subcategory and provide a name for your link and click on get Html to get the code. You can see the ad preview and add the code to your website.

Here I’ve created code for best computers. When we click on the code, we can see Amazon best selling and popular computers.

Create a link to search results:

Using this option, you can create a link for search results. Now select a product line from available categories. Now enter the keyword that belongs to the same category you selected above. Provide a name for your link and click on get Html to get the code.

You can see the ad preview and add the code to your website. Before adding the code, don’t forget to check ad preview by clicking on your link name beside preview option.

Here I’ve created code for Bahubali movie under movies & TV. When we click on the code, we can see Amazon search results for Bahubali Movie.

Create link using Link to any page:

Using this option, you can create a link to any page. Open a new tab and directly go to Amazon.in home page and search for the product.  Copy the product URL and add that URL in enter the URL box and add a name to your link.

Link to any Page 3 options links are text links only. You can directly add these links on your website.
