Inner Fire Fitness gym opening in downtown Cincinnati: EXCLUSIVE – Cincinnati Business Courier – The Business Journals

A unique gym is scheduled to open this fall in downtown Cincinnati.
Inner Fire Fitness, a new-to-market fitness studio, signed a 10-year lease for 5,800 square feet of space at Mabley Place at the corner of Fourth and Race streets. Amanda Bloomquist and Christine Lindner, granddaughter of the late Carl Lindner Jr. and daughter of American Financial Group co-CEO Craig Lindner, created the new concept.
Inner Fire Fitness will offer class-based training programs led by certified instructors using unique methods such as aerial fitness silks and hammocks, In-Trinity incline boards, specialized treadmills and more.
“Beyond simply giving people a place to work out, we want clients to feel welcome, supported and part of something larger,” Lindner said. “Class-based fitness is exploding in popularity and part of that is due to human desire for connectedness with other people. We aspire to learn from each other, push each other to be our best selves and grow with confidence, self-esteem and personal power.”
Bloomquist is a Cincinnati-based yoga instructor, personal trainer and certified aerial hammock instructor. Lindner also is a certified aerial hammock instructor, as well as an avid fitness enthusiast and trainer.
Class offerings will be available on a pay-as-you go basis, as well as on package or membership plans. The duo plan to hire about 15 employees to work at Inner Fire Fitness.
Mabley Place is a 775-space parking garage with street-level retail that replaced Tower Place Mall. Bloomquist and Lindner chose downtown for the gym’s location because they wanted to be part of the growth occurring in downtown Cincinnati and bring something new to the area.
Chris Vollmer Jr. and Justin Rex with Colliers International represented Inner Fire Fitness in the deal. Steve Fahrnbach with Warm Realty and Development represented the landlord.

Inner Fire Fitness also will have a full-service smoothie bar serving fresh, organic smoothies. The smoothies will be made with greens, almond butter, avocado and fruit instead of powders or mixes.
A website for Inner Fire Fitness is currently being designed that will have scheduling capability, a retail shop and an online order form for scheduled take-out smoothies.
Bloomquist and Lindner founded Inner Fire Fitness in early 2015.
