Oracle Primavera P6 17.1.7 Installation on Windows
In this section, we walk through how to install Primavera P6 17.1.7 Installation on Windows environment
Pre-Requisite
Download the JDK and WebLogic server the versions mentioned below
Oracle JDK 1.8.0_131 (For Installation instruction, See JAVA INSTALLATION ON WINDOWS)
Middleware 12.2.1
Download Primavera P7 17.1.7
1. Go to edelivery.oracle.com, Search for Primavera P5 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, Choose the platform as Windows and Click Continue
2. Click continue
3. Download Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management 17 for Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
Primavera P6 17.1.7 Installation
4. Unzip the software file, Go to Disk1\install & Double click on the setup.exe
5. The installation Wizard opens on the screen. Click Next
6. Click Next on the wizard
7. Specify the P6 installation directory
8. Select the modules you want to install. I unselected P6 Professional Cloud Connect because we are not going to connect to cloud
9. Select the JDK
10. Click Install
11. The P6 EPPM Configuration wizard opens on the screen
12. Choose the one you want
13. In this P6 version, Oracle provided an option in to wizard itself to create a P6 database schema in the secured database. Read the instruction in the arrow mark for more information.
This wizard only appears if you selected Create a new P6 EPPM database in the previous wizard
14. This is also for P6 application security.
15. Input database and application password. Click Next
16. Click Next
17. Configure the WebLogic if you want. Select the below two text boxes if you want to connect to P6 with BPM.
18. Input the WebLogic server details & WebLogic password
19. Click Next
20. Configure here if you want to connect to BI Publisher
21. Configure here if you want to connect to BPM
22. Review the summary & Click Next
23. Click Ok for the pop up
24. Click Yes for the pop up again
25. The setup wizard will start configuring P6 EPPM based on the section you mentioned before.
26. Click Next once everything completed
27. Note all the URL’s here & Click Finish
Test the Primavera P6 17.1.7 Installation URL’s
Below is the list of URL’s you can access to test the P6 applications
WebLogic Admin Console (credentials mentioned in Step 18)
http://localhost:7001/console
Primavera P6 (credentials mentioned in Step 15)
http://localhost:8203/p6
Primavera P6 Administrator
http://localhost:8203/p6/action/adminconfig
Web Services
http://localhost:8206/p6ws/services
Team Member (credentials mentioned in Step 15)
http://localhost:8207/p6tmweb
